Are Sliding Contracts in the Game?

Post by AngeLxLost »

I signed Cal Foote in July of 2017 and sent him to juniors after the preseason but his contract still says that it ends on 2020. Is this a glitch, am I doing something incorrectly or are sliding contracts not implemented?

Kinda ruins the process of signing non-lottery picks when you have to burn years for no reason.

Sliding Contracts are in the game, but they don't show as occurring immediately; the slide occurs at the end of the season, when "contract changes" occur for all players

Oh okay.

Just to clarify, so on July 2018 it should say that the contract expires on 2021 instead?

Yes (assuming a 2017 contract start/signing and the correct circumstances for sliding)
