EHM Free - Tactics and Tricks Guides

Post by jj252525 »

Hey all,

Used to be a regular in an EHM league many moons ago (about a decade ago). I'm joining an online league once more, and was hoping someone would have some sort of link to intermediate/advanced tips and guides for EHM freeware, if any are out there. Still remembers most of it, but some of the more granular mechanics have slipped away.

Thanks a lot for all your insight.

No, they're wanting a tactics/FAQ guide for the old freeware version of EHM.

With FHockey down, I'm not sure much of anything is out there, save for maybe on individual league forums or something.

Is there anything more specific that you're looking for? Most online leagues limit or eliminate things you could exploit like Hit & Grind, so there are not a lot of "tricks" save for scouting long and scouting hard each draft, and always making sure you get your lines in for every game. (And remembering things like that goalies don't get POT boosts)

Leagues have their own rules though, so a lot depends on those rules.

Many years ago while running a league I wrote a very comprehensive guide to everything in EHM including scouting. Most of it is factual but some is just my own take on things everyone has a theory about, drawing from my experience. Looking back on it now I made a few mistakes.
