What version is best?

Post by ParisHL »

Howdy all,

I seem to recall that 1.18 produces the best game results but 1.15 creates the best Prospects so it's ideal to switch over to 1.15 when creating youngsters. Is that still the case, or is there a tool that makes switching versions pointless?

It's been a few years since I last played the freeware version.

Thanks.

The simple answer: nothing has changed. Use 1.15b for player generation at rollover and at first before saving the first time after game start. Use 1.16 for simming (I still prefer 1.16 over 1.18 because 1.16 sims pretty well and also sims in about half the time 1.18 does).

The only thing is that 1.18 now replaces 1.16 somewhat because of a bug in Hokay's rosters that causes all other versions to crash. So for up to the full first season sometimes, you can't sim using anything other than 1.18 without it crashing. But beyond that bug I still personally recommend 1.16 for everyday simming, unless you really need the draft order screen.
