To Separate The Flesh From The Bones

I started a game with IK Oskarshamn in Allvenskan (Sweden).

I brought in a couple of players with experience from Elitserien like Per-Anton Lundström and Jonas Finn-Olsson, some rookies and a couple of fringeplayers.

We were predicted to finish Top 4 and with players like Jaensson, Jonsson and Schultz, topped with the new arrivals that did not seem impossible. And it wasn't. We started of a two-team race with Rögle at first, but then they were left behind and Björklöven and Södertälje joined the race. We faced some keyinjuries and began to lose some points, this resultet in a drop down to 5th place. By that time Leksand brought in a fantastics goalie from Czech. Rep, called Adam Svoboda. With him between the pipes Leksand started to climb but we managed to keep up their pace and when the season ended we finished 2 points a head of them with Björklöven 3rd and Rögle 4th.

In the "Kvalserien" Luleå and Mora from Elitserien participated. We were off to a tough start with 2-3 against Leksand with 7 seconds remaining before Schultz equalized! In game number two we were up 2-0 against Björklöven after two periods but from nowhere they scored three consecetive goals winning the game 2-3. In game three we finally managed to get 3 points after winning against Rögle 4-1. Sadly we lost three games in a row (we were demolished against Leksand, 3-8) and it seemed impossible for us to finish Top 2. In game 7 we faced Björklöven again and this time we lost a 2-1 lead in the last minutes but were able to win in OT. But we lost against Rögle after a collapse in the third (4-3 to 4-6...) and despite our 2 straight wins against the Elitserien teams Mora and Luleå we finished the season 5th out of 6 teams. Leksand (who simply were amazing, won every single game except for the first tie against us) and Mora got promoted to Elitserien.

With the new season coming up we had to bulid from scratch as half the team left due to their contracts expiring.
