I've started a thread about KoL here.

(for no particular reason I'm going to answer things backwards here just to keep you all on your toes...)

Ryan you going to rejoin Popo or not? Even if you just start a character and have them start collecting their Noob Points...

Oh you know I'll be in for this KoL thing ;) ... and while we're making off topic mentions of other games we still have openings for the very fun batracer car racing game that is very easy to pick up for new people actually and it gives you another thing to brag and/or pain about. I'd say it takes maybe 15-20 per race day to tweak your car settings then the race plays out as we all take to the track and try to crush each other. It's a lot of fun, check out the thread here in Comps & Games for details!

Mark, others still working on the Mother's Quests: the easiest way to take care of the "give someone an item" quest is to buy a pin second hand for like a buck and give it to someone, if they haven't done that item as well they can give it right back to you and you'll both knock one off your list =D> You can't actually give people money unless you have a VIP account which I think is worth the $3 a month it costs especailly for band leaders for scheduling gigs/jams.

Speaking of VIP the shopping assistant is awesome, Fancy Meals in Paris:

KrOI!zberg Punk [PAR] 10 US$ 7
Metal Moms' Club [PAR] 10 US$ 6
.·*★ Latina ★*·. 10 US$ 1
Froggies 11 US$ 154

Okay now we're back to recording contracts... the key is get a company that is going to give you good advice, a 60% split to start out, free recording time, the access to a 5* producer and will keep your items in stock. However, you should have some amount of worldwide fame before releasing a single which is why TDG embarked on their Euro tour, so unlike most bands our first singlke will actually make us some money.

Joe, I told a CEO of Nashville's Queen pain studios that you guys didn't have a contract so if he contacts you I'd got with them instead

Now, new content :-p OMG hotels in Paris are only $39!?!? :joy:

Quick reminder to us Dead Generation guys while over here in Europe you should try to do a 'Fraternize' option once a day or at least once every other day in order to keep your relationships with the other NYC guys from falling off completely by the time we get back to NYC.

The Dead Generation have officially joined the Prophecy family, signing on earlier today for a contract with Prophecy Records :joy:

Something I just realized, go to your band page and go to 'Artist Journal' and you can type in messages to the other band dudes, so be checking that as I'll make band notes there rather than bug everyone about band stuff here. If everyone could post how many stars in punk they currently have that would be cool, that's one of the stats that only you see your ratings for.

All at Floyd's band: maybe you'd better cancel your show ;) a member in jail and some who haven't got their instruments, and be sure it'll be the worse show of your carreer

Man, I know they're random but the updates still drive me crazy; I think it determines how many we get on a dialy random basis and then when during the day each of us will get those as well. Anyone else have a wierd update day though? I look at my diary today:

22:51 Improved my skills in Punk Rock.
22:51 I've been to the gym a lot lately and spent 48 US$ on gym fees. It makes me feel good with myself.

So I got two updates within an hour  If I was trying to write during that period that could ahve been two I was away from home for, not to mention I'm glad I took some more moeny out of the bank and hotels in Paris are cheap or I'd have had trouble paying my hotel bill

My updates are really annoying. I always seem to get about three overnight when I'm not at my machine, then maybe one more in the late afternoon when I actually am here.

So, before I go to bed at night, I have to make sure I'm not doing anything expensive, or else I'll end up doing it two to three times in a row before I can change priorities.

Yeah, they are heavily influenced by Murphy's Law. That's why I refer to having myself "chained to my desk" when I'm writing songs in my apt because I know the second I step out to say hi to someone WHAM update... and the longer it's been to more paranoid I get about going anywhere.

Archi and Vinlo: I am booking some random jams, as it is free I try to do one/day so it's no worries if someone misses one or two or 14 (I'm looking at you, Archi!)

I have 2% in "Star quality" now! :-o

Hehe oops! At least I'm churning out some songs while I'm inside so we'll get our repertoire up a little (I seem to remember a band needing at least seven of its own songs to get anywhere :-? ). I've removed the cover songs from our repertoire so that we can concentrate on and improve our own songs.

Good choice with Aymelek Jam - they're the best free jam place there is

I was going to say, when you guys get closer to your show, instead of doing covers or leaving yourself short you should just start writing and finish a song right away even though it's on 0% in both lyric/melody. They will turn out truly abysmal on both sides of course but they are at leas written by you and count towards the eight song limit you have to get above or you lose ratings points. When you have real songs you can just remove the placeholders :-D

Ya know... April leaves you NYC boys to your own devices for a little Euro Tour and everyone ends up under the care of the State in one way or another... really  Heh.

Shadd and anyone else having problems especially with mood, I'll say it again: Busking is BAD and simply not worth it. It pounds on your health and mood for a few bucks and is really only there so new players have something to do to get money in their first week before they get paid because otherwise they freak about not having any money.

No my mood is bad because i spend to much time on learning a competence (i didn't knew before that it shut mood down). I used busking only at the beginning, a month ago. And maybe my mood is bad because April misses me a lot  lol. Nothing dramatic by the way, i'll soon be better ;) At least, i hope so ^^

With my fat new paycheck, courtesy of April "Boss" Sherwood, I finally just got me-self a nice black electric guitar :joy:

P.S. What effect will it have if I put on a concert(nothing big) without having my songs "practiced" to their full extent? I remember reading in the help that this will lower quality when recording the songs for an album... I'm assuming it's the same for concerts...?

The best we've gotten any of our The Dead Generation songs up to is about 68% I think now, so while it will affect your show it shouldn't keep you from scheduling a show. Only one of us even had an instrument for our first show :-p

Woho! I just got myself a black electric guitar! Now all I need is a mic and I am ready for our first show.

How's it going with you guys? A long time 'til you actually have an instrument and can play it? :)

Now we have 4 songs, only 4 left... We have our show in three days, I'll do one today and if you, Archi, do one more Vinlo has to do two and we're set to go. :joy:
