EHM 2007 Staff Tips?

Post by Prowl »

I looked and really couldn't find a staff thread so I was hoping that you vets that have had this game for a long time can help me out with picking out some great staff. I'm going to try the Pens out as my first team in this game and am looking to basically replace the majority of my staff, who are awful. My scouts all suck and I'm not happy with Therien's offensive rating. I thought about hiring either Dave King or Pat Quinn to run the team. Any help would be awesome and thanks :)

Very first thing you do is offer Paul Coffey a spot. Top notch ratings.
Otherwise I'd say use the staff search function and filter for the ratings you want ie goalie stats for a goalie coach.

Good Luck!

You can pretty much bag any staff guy by offering them the money they want plus a 300K+ bonus. I've never had a staff person reject an offer with a bonus like that, that is of course as long as they have interest in the team.

If they will accept offers depends on what team you are playing as, you'll have an easier time getting coaches interested with coming to a succesful team with a big lineup already in place while some may not want to take on a rebuilders role for example.

The key is to do your staff search and find the candidates that best fit your team. If you have a veteran team it's less of an issue if your coaches aren't great with young players, if you're rebuilding or have a younger team it's of critical importance you have coaches that can "reach" your young players.
