I'm working with xECK29x on his roster development and we would of like to add some important tournaments around the world which contains players below this limit. Somewhere around 10 years old would be perfect if it is possible
I'm sorry, but how can this even be programmed into the game? It would be really cool to see if players were 10-12 years old were included in the game but the attributes would be anywhere from 1-5. EHM needs something like Football Manager where they have a 'Regen Day/Youth Candidates' day where you can see the upcoming crop of kids.

Not trying to sound hostile. Living in Boston, Mass. I understand there are Pee-Wee and Bantom tournaments, but in a wide sense scheme of things, kids who make it to the pros from that is very slim.

Why would you want tournaments for players that have'y yet rechaed their teens. Crazy!
Let the kids be kids and scout them when they come of age

I didn't read through the whole thread to see if any of this was suggested but the following are things I've thought of while I've been playing EHM for the past 4/5 years:

Real life NHL CBA rules that could be added to make it more realistic:

-12/1 deadline for RFA's to be eligible to play
-AHL playoff eligibility (guys have to be on AHL roster when TDL passes)
-Incorporate “emergency call ups” in additional to regular call ups
-4 regular call up limit after the deadline
-7 day IR shouldn’t give cap relief
-Roster limit should be removed the day of the deadline, not a couple weeks later
-Can negotiate with impending UFA’s a few days before 7/1, so that they mostly sign on 7/1
-Veteran rules for pre-season games

Things that could also make roster management more realistic:
-“Geography” or “current location” should be a factor for players and teams. What I mean by this is that when a team is on a road trip, that team and the players on the roster would be “located” where they are playing or will be playing. What would this do?
A. If you go to recall a player from the minors, the game would account for travel time between where that player is and where your team is and that player wouldn’t be available right away. Recall a guy a few states over when the day is at AM, and they show up on the roster, but you aren’t able to dress them until PM or Evening. The exception would be something like the Blackhawks being at home and their AHL team is playing the Wolves that day. This would give the rare (and it should be) possibility that a team has to dress a Scott Foster type goalie because their AHL call up goalie won’t be there in time. As for the Scott Foster, the game could just pick some rando “OK” or “Unpr” unsigned goalie with a hometown near where the team is playing.
B. You could have injured guys stay home and then you actually have to decide whether or not they’ll join the team on a road trip.
-Somehow make it where AI teams automatically submit QO’s to Very good/Superb RFA’s and give ELC’s to 1st round picks
-Somehow make buyouts more of a factor, where AI teams get rid of guys making more than a buryable cap hit that they had buried in the minors

Other annoyances:

-If you’re an NHL team, you should be able to sign guys on AHL deals and have them join the team right away, not wait till some time in June/July or whatever it is
-College guys should leave their schools earlier than they currently so they burn a year of ELC and join the NHL teams for their last few games, or go to the AHL on an ATO like they do in the real world.
-Training camp invites should work a lot differently… Guys invited to camp should stay indefinitely and actually have to be “cut” instead of leaving after the scheduled week of camp. Doing nothing could create a situation like Scott Gomez or Chris Stewart, where the guy is still waiting around traveling and practicing with the team. They could eventually get ticked off and leave and have the team and GM listed under disliked. You should also be able to sign guys that you invite to camp and have them join right away and not in June or whatever (of course it depends on where they’re contracted to, but guys on AHL or CHL deals should join immediately…). Most unsigned UFA’s that played in the NHL the season prior or have 100 games of NHL experience should end up as PTO’s for NHL teams. Also, if you choose the “open camp” option, it should be guys that you could actually sign that are either experienced NHLer’s mentioned above, as well as guys that your organization has scouted or are on your shortlist.

Other:
-Make the trade deadline more interactive. I’m thinking you’d have something where a week or two before deadline day, you get a note asking if you intend to sell, buy, stand pat or are undecided for the deadline and then, like “training camp”, a new tab comes up that takes you to a screen for deadline trades. You pick players that are available and see players that teams have made available and you can make offers, and see offers that other teams have made for your guys. You or the other teams don’t have to accept deals until deadline day, and the offers can get better or go away as the days pass. On deadline day, it would be kind of like the draft. You’d go in to that tab and like rounds in the draft, each hour of the deadline from 9AM to 3PM is simmed almost like rounds in the draft, with various trades and offers happening as each hour goes by.
-Incorporate summer prospect tournaments for the NHL teams
-There should be some type of relationship that can be built or ruined between a coach and GM, especially if you choose not to coach. Like where if someone gets hurt, the coach suggests what type of player you should recall, or even a specific player and if you recall someone different they may get angry. You could also create situations like Mike Babcock where he insists you sign and keep Dan Cleary on the team, or he doesn’t like that you signed Jason Spezza. You could also have it where the coach makes suggestions on what the team needs before the deadline, draft or UFA period and if you don’t do what he suggests it strains the relationship.

MAKE THE GOALIES BETTER! the NHL average is a .915 sv%
It shouldn't be .890 after 20-30 years...
