Player Called Up To NHL From Juniors?

Well i just win the president cup whit the Quebec Rempart and the Coyotes offert a contract to one of my best players, Brent Aubin, a couple of days before the Memorial Cup, he accept that contract and he left emediatly my team on the 17 may 2007...

What the Dickens is that? I though he would have left the team on the 1st june!

Nice, and Angelo Esposito got injured during a practice... AAAARG!!! :rant:

The problem is that their right superceed yours, if an NHL team owns their rights they can call them up and play them at the NHL level whenever :dunno: I know it kinda sucks for your team but that doesn't make it a bug; it's a common gripe of followers of lower level teams actually.

Yeah, i just though there were a rule that was saying that a guy who sign a contract couldn't join is new team before the 1st of june...

That would be true if the player was playing overseas but Juniors -> NHL is an any time they want thing.

Now i understand why Patrick Roy is so furious! :rant:

Oh well, i win the President cup, lost the Memorial cup but at least i found a team in the ECHL during the summer.

I know what u are talking about Alex!!!

Same happened to me when I played with the Belleville Bulls in the OHL!!

Just after winning the league and heading into the Memorial Cup my high scorer had an offer he left inmediately....if I recall right to the ECHL, but not sure.

Its frustrating, I know!!!

Yeah, but the worse, right before my second match in the Memorial Cup, me best player, Angelo Esposito, get injured in a practic!

It seem like this cup is nearly impossible to win, everytime i come close, something stupid happen!

LOL!!! I hear u!!!

Its curious that alway when Iam in the playoffs some of my important players get injured!!!
Normally, during the season, I only have minor injuries (one week or 10 days) but when the playoffs start the injuries are suddenly about 2 months, LOL!!!

BTW, tried to trade away Esposito from Quebec to my Mooseheads, but the GM didnt want to hear anything :-D
