Hey guys!!!
I was just wondering if somebody could lend me a helping hand by sharing a good PP-tactic for EHM07!!
Iam still with my first game where I started unemployed and then I accepted an offer from Prince Albert Raiders from the WHL.
There I really have to say that the former GM did make my life hell by trading key-players away for nearly nothing and keeping only one goalie in the team....well, I still managed to win 11 of 23 games but when I arrived there the team was sooooo deep in the hole that Iam still the worst team around!!!
I managed to improve, but what I notice is that the PowerPlay is really, really bad!!! I have a 12,8% and I finish some games with 1 of 8 or 0 of 11 in PP!!!.....and in a league where there are called lots of penalties the PP is really key!!!
I have tried lots of things: different tactics with different players, but still I cant manage to improve my numbers!!!
Has anybody experienced a good PP-tactic??? Also, I would appreciate if u guys let me know what attributes u look on when putting guys on the PP-unit.
Any help will be appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance,
PowerPlay-tactic on EHM07

My Columbus team went for the season 21.6% on the PP using umbrella... with Marleau at center Doan on one wing and Zherdev on the other. My second line was Nash Handzus Balastik. I haven't found anything that has given me near that kind of quality or consistancy.
If you have a couple shooters for Defense too they can rack up crazy numbers as well. I had Morris and Clymer and Morris won the Norris (I guess easier since it was just a one letter change on his name?
) and Clymer was named first team All-Star.

I have Bodnarchuk and Suchy on Halifax and they both have good shooting skills and they usually score lots of goals.
Just wondering if it would be "too offensive" if i have both on shoot .
Think Iam improving with the Umbrella tactic. Had a lousy 15% and they are allowing loooots of shorthanded goals...so improving this is not really difficult

I play different pairings on my PP/PK than during the game because I play one offensive guy with one defensive guy for my even strength pairings. The offensive guy shoots and the other more defensive guy then passes and doesn't join the rush so he can be ready to get back if there are bounces/turnovers, etc. For sake of my explaining it let's say my #1 and #3 guys are offensive guys and they are paired with #2 and #4 who are more "stay at home" defensive guys. My third pairing btw is usually two stay at homers, the kind of guys you can get for cheap heh.
So, at even strength 1&2 and 3&4 match up to give me balance. When it comes to the PP I put the offensive guys together 1&3 on my first line PP. With the two offensive guys paired up I then set whoever is better at passing to pass and whoever has the better shot to shoot. In my game this was Clymer as shooter which is how he ended up scoring 11 on the PP and assisting on 15 (a lot of shots from the point knocked in on the rebound)
This then leaves my #2 and #4, my defensive guys, fresh and they form my first pairing for PK. I assume that makes a difference for my PK numbers but I'm not positive...
