You can definitely have more than one, 'cause I have two right now. I'm not gonna use it though(except for this one accidental incident), because it feels like cheating to me, and that takes away all the fun. :thdn:

Loophole/bug for sure then... but yeah it would kill all the fun.

Congrats to The Dead Generation for gaining the "Toured 10 Cities" award! That's what I was aiming for actually in our tour, I actually didn't know there was an award for 5 cities at the time...

For TDG and anyone who wants to join in the tweaking and testing to see how we can best get a good set together, I've started putting up the VIP setlists for our shows as gif screencaps in the Popo section of the Knowledge Base. VIPs get more details about what happened during shows after the fact... if you 'watch' a show live you get this detail but currently only VIPs get the same amount of detail when looking at shows from the past shows lists.

Not bad, we ended up only dropping one notch to 'poor' 8-)

I don't think it is odd to be able to be working on more than one song but I mean in the game there are limits so you can't write a song as Calv mentioned for cetain periods so being able to start a whole mess of songs and then just finish them as needed alter seems to be skiriting around something they've put in deices to keep your from doing is all.

I love the concept of smashing instruments as well as there is a kicking over the equipment one but I haven't heard any reports as to if that will actually literally destroy your equipment yet... I'll buy you a new guitar if'n ya wnat to test it out :-D
I'll take you up on that offer! I'll smash my guitar next show. If it doesn't work out, I'll start doing some stage-diving.

Yeah that wasn't bad at all. But what's the deal with the crowd being disgusted with April taking some clothes off? Also, has Jeb read his "proper drinking" book yet? I was surprised to see him puke after chugging a beer.

Anyone read this yet?:
Popomundo Firefighters
As you've probably already noticed each city has been given a fire station. It's highly recommended for cities to keep the quality of their fire station and number of employed firemen at an appropriate level.

If a fire breaks out all firemen in the city get a notification saying where the fire is located. This happens automatically for all locales except for homes where you need to manually install a fire detector.

To fight a fire a local fireman has to go to the Fire station and order a fire brigade to the location. When this is done a group of firemen will rush to the burning locale and begin fighting the flames. The number of firemen called out depends on the size of the fire.

If a fire isn't put out in time the building will collapse and any items present will be destroyed. Characters in the locale will also suffer injuries according to the size of the fire. There's also a risk that the fire will spread to other locales if it's not put out in time.

However, before the fire gets too big anyone with the fire fighting skill has the possibility to fight it with a simple fire extinguisher. It's quite possible to become a hero in the eyes of the population this way... just but be careful. You don't want to get yourself injured this way.
Sounds like it'll be a nice touch of realistic risk to living. Though, If I'm reading it correctly, it sounds like a fireman has to go to the station and order men out to fight the fire. What happens if no one is available to dispatch anyone, or if no one is available to respond to the dispatch? Do we just have to watch our apartment burn down along with the several thousand dollar equipment we might have in it? :-k

And I guess if you haven't seen this, this can serve as a warning to arm your house with a fire alarm... or else no one will know your house is going down.

Yeah, I gotta remember to buy a fire detector... almost forgot because we've been away from our appts for so long  All you have to do is buy one and drop it in your appartment.

Also, it looks like smashing stuff on stage won't actually cause you to have to buy a new guitar for the next show, which is good :-p

As for April's repulsing people she doesn't have her erotic dance skill yet so that's why, and Jeb has read his book but hasn't studied up on drinking yet I don't think... so those we'll get better at. I have to get my dancing to three stars before I can learn erotic dance. Working on that now though.

Merry PopoChristmas to everyone; I bought some extra fireworks today and passed them around to some of the NYC popopeeps as a welcome home gift... April has returned to NYC!! Keep the fireworks on you until after New Years, they work the same way as the Monster Mask at Halloween. :joy:

Was the part with Palmer smashing his guitar included in the set? When I read the report of the show it didn't mention it. It also didn't have the "crank up the volume" attributed to Palmer either. Did it show differently live? I just want to make sure he's doing something because I only got 1 point last week.

You were set to do them just like last show, I think after looking at it though they only note things with people's names if it's tied to a specific skill because those have special abusive "things went horribly wrong" messages :-D I'm pretty sure those are just display issues though, because you still did the actions in the show as you were set to.

BTW - Added Porto to the setlists KB thread: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/kb ... ticle&k=72

I'm such an idiot.

First: Last night I decide to leave for my Dec. 28th show in Nashville, but get my fireworks taken by customs. A little planning would have showed me I could have easily waited till after new years before leaving. I then could have gotten the mood boost, and not wasted a set of fireworks.

Second: I get to Nashville... and then realize I left my mic. and Guitar at home... in New York. No guitar and no mic. doesn't help a lad about to put on a show.

So... I'm now taking a risk and hoping that I can hitch a ride back to New York to get my stuff, and then get back to Nashville in time for my show on Thursday.

Ugh... I got my fireworks taken by customs too because I've been helping a friend from my image editing site to get up to speed in the game. Funny she actually was playing from before we started and had kinda given up til I mentioned we were playing, we got our 'works taken away flying to TO.

As for forgetting your guitar/mic:  If you hit a time crunch Nashville isn't tooo far so you can probably get a cheap flight if you need to.

Archi Your weekly experience points are different from your overall points. The overall points are for landmarks, like playing your first show, finishing mother's tour, playing before 500 people, playing x number of cities etc.

Experience points are from things you do during the week, with the new show system doing events during shows in a big factor but in general it's tougher now to get your 3 points per week like you used to, that is one of those things thought hat the devs aren't saying much about...

I'm not positive on this, but I think the kind of 'seeds' you get has to do with what area of a song you are working on. So if you need musical seeds set yourself to work on your melody and if you need lyrics seeds set yourself to be working on lyrics. When I was last chained to my desk waiting to finish off my lyrics I kept getting more lyric seeds never got a musical one! When I got back to NYC I got two musical in a row but I was set to melody at the time, I switched it to lyrics and my next seed was a lyrical one so I guess it has to do with "where your head is at" if you're thinking about the lyrics or melody of a song you hear that inspires your seed.

BTW - April back in NYC and I've finally shaken the cold so I can start interacting with people again. :joy:

what were you doing when you got the seeds? I never get any anymore. Seems like ages since I got one. Looking through my diary it seems that I only get them when I'm busking.. which isn't good for mood

Jeb and I have been relying on becoming best friends with the PopoRIAA ;) Downloading still gets me a seed at least every other time, sometimes every time. :joy:

You download music? How does that go for you? I've been wanting to do it, but I always think I'm gonna get busted somehow and I wuss out.

I've backed off from doing it so much because it seemed I only got the lyric ones but now 8-) And as for Jeb I think we could make his role that of a Bass Player/Illegal Downloader at this point :-p

I don't know what effect the new 'originality' factor will have as the more seeds you use the less original the song as it's compiled from so many other influences/inspirations whihc are what the seeds represent.

And you CAN get busted for it... but I've not heard of it happenign to anyone and when/if it does it pounds on your mood pretty heavily. There is of course an "opportunity cost" in that downloading is the same option that you'd need to set for mood and helth boosting activities like rest, going to the gym, shopping etc. But it's not an actual sit you down in front of a judge type crime so you pay only in loss of mood if busted. Unlike Floyd's tagging spree of 20 locations that landed him two weeks in the clink ;)

Ha! :joy: Not that this matters to any of y'all but the "where the hell are the dresses?!?!" campaign was finally victorious so April is wearing a new black leather dress

An offshoot that some of you sci-fi fans might be more excited about is that April is now prepared as she has her towel, another new item to the Popoverse :-D I'd guess that will become a bit of a popo in-joke...

Hey Alex; you should look around and see if anyone needs a CEO, you can only be a CEO as a VIP so there are usually some openings. They are the highest paying jobs in the game 8-)

Tomorrow everyone in the PopoWorld can experience VD! :-p

I expect April to basically be buried in chocolates... show your appreciation for her fabulousness or you'll be sorry! :-x

Okay, just being funny there but tommorow is PopoValentines day, so if you give a box of chocolates to someone they will get a mood boost at the end of the day, but I think you have to refrain from chowing down on them until you see the "Chocalates for Valentines Make Me Happy" diary entry... then you can mow on them :-D

Not sure if any of the boys from Floyd's might be interested but there is a History of Jazz book for sale at Wein Second Hand [NY]*WP* for $800 which might be helpful. I also found a used 'Advanced Accounting' book like the one I had that was stolen from me for 60% price so it just goes to show it pays to occasionally check the 2nd Hand Shops for bargains.
