Goalie GP Problem?

Post by Joe »

I'm 25 games into my season, and it says Esche has played 23 games, while Kolzig has played 10. Now I know thats not right because I haven't had to change my goalies during the game for any reason, and I always coach my games, so whats up with that?

I think they should have played close to the same amount of games, Esche has probably played 2 or 3 more.

Well, I've been experiencing a small bug that might be behind all of that. In the end of games, my starting goalie comes off and is replaced by the backup, despite me not wanting it or anything.
Now, it doesn't happen every time, but it sure is strange. :)

Do you mean with time left in the game, or when all the time has expired?

Make sure you have your extra skaters filled in too, or your backup may take a skate as a center or something...

Unfortunately I am... I've reported it to the patch testing. The game's deafult is that if you don't assign players to your extra skater slots it puts in your goalie as he's the first player listed on your roster but 'greys out' his name so he should NOT actually be used, but on very rare ocassions I've seen it happen.

So if you have a high profile player get hurt and he was one of your extra skaters be sure you go to your tactics and assign someone else to the slot. Oh, btw I mentioned the problem systemfel as well

My backup usually comes in with about 10 secs remaining in the third, but if the game goes to OT, my starter is back in net. :)
