attributes dropped

Post by vocquat »

i am in my first season and I have Milan Michalek
What I usually do is make him play a little in the NHL and a little in AHl because I also have semin so I try to make them share the playing time

but suddnely, Michalek's technical attributes just collapsed to 11

Has this happend to anyone else. Is my strategy of shared nhl ice time a casue for this drop?

Milan Michalek

Usually, sending a player back-and-forth between two different leagues/teams is a bad idea. It'll be really stressful and confusing on the player and most-likely ruin him(especially prospects). Though, it is possible that this is the beginning of the known "decline bug" - where all players progress downwards instead of up.

First of all welcome to TBL! =D> I changed your image to a link, you should do that for larger images in case people are still on dialups

But back to your post, I think that his bouncing back and forth between two different sets of coaches (with your AHL coaches probably being far inferior to your NHL ones) could have affected the stats for sure. You should decide on one or the other not yo-yo him between the two.

so if I don't dress him it is better that he stays with the team and doesn't play rather than playing in AHL?

I guess I'll try that

Well, you should get him consistent playing time if you want him to develop but you should decide where. You could have him stick it out and be a superstar in the AHL for a year or make a trade at the NHL level to get him time. I'd lean towards opeing a slot for him via trade since he has the stats to succeed at the NHL level.

Hey, well I am a little biased, but I would take Michalek over Semin anyday, in all my Sharks Dynastys he turns into a superstar offensively, and a very solid defensive forward, I usually put him on the second line with Marleau then the second PP line, then the next season I put him on the top line and top PP and he will get you anywhere between 80-120 points, depending on his linemates, sometimes I even put him on the second PK line and he holds his own quite comfortably, but yeah Milan is one of my favourites in real life, and the game, with the right coaching and right handling of lines, a potential superstar

Hope this helps
