Just scored an empty-netter trailing 7-3

Post by Systemfel »

So I was trailing 7-3 to Ottawa with about ten left in the third...then there was a delayed penalty call on Vanek and Sens pulled Emery of course. Chris Kelly, who had the puck, apparently couldn't find anyone to pass so he just dished it towards his own zone, hoping Comrie (the extra attacker) could strech out and take the puck. Mikey couldn't reach it though, and the puck slided right into the gaping net. :D

Pretty cool, I must say. 8-)

Has anyone ever seen a blocked shot go all the way back into an open net? I know Shanahan scored a real life goal like that.

That reminds me of an own goal by Kamensky (I think) for Colorado against Detroit in the late 90's
