Question on patch 303

Post by The Senator »

I just want to make sure I understand this. I downloaded and installed the new patch (303). I want to continue a saved game. I am in the year 2008 so the decline bug may or may not hit me. If the decline bug hits me and I start a new game will I still get the full benifits from the patch on the new game?

Okay, I'm not sure what you are asking as you're doubling back on yourself :-?
If the decline bug hits me and I start a new game will I still get the full benifits from the patch on the new game?
If you start a new game you will always get the full benefits of the patch because it's a new game started from day one with the new patch version. That is why they suggest you do it. So the answer to your question as posted is of course yes.

I however think you actually meant would applying the patch "cure" your game you are in 2008 of and the answer is that it should keep you from having development issues since you are only in 2008.

The patch however won't "cure" a game that is in say 2020 and reset it's asset levels to where they should be (if there was asset deterioration occuring) but from 2020 on players shouldn't have any developmental issues.

I hope that helps?

Just to add,

Riz claims that the decline problem is a result of another bug. So, it's best to keep in mind that eventhough you haven't had a decline in attributes, it's still possible that its "parent bug" has already hit you.

Thank YOU guys for the answer. I was unsure if starting a saved game first would effect the patch when I do start a new game.I take it from your answer that the patch will still work fully on a new game even if I play a saved game for a few years first?
