Hi I am new here but I've been playing EHM for years now. I was just curious as to how long it usually takes until someone creates an updated roster file?
The main steps being that Neil has to fiirst get his editor to work with the new database, then the work has to be done to rework the database so that depends on who is doing the work, how much they decide to tackle at once (as releasing a database in segments isn't practical as people need to start new games to use a new database) and how much if any testing they decide to do...
So the answer is.... Iyunno
But welcome to TBL! Any fan of Gravy's is a friend of mine
Sorry for this n00b thread, but can I download an current up to date roster somewhere?
Because it sucks that Chistov is still on the Ducks etc. Or should I wait for the next patch? Does someone know how long it takes for the release? I also hope version 1.1 of the unfaking DB will come out soon...

I also had the same problem, and a few times the download would stop completely (although I think my internet had something to do with it as well).
But I ended up getting the patch from the Eastside UK site, and the patch downloaded in 2 minutes. But I just checked the site and I guess they have exceeded their bandwidth so the site is down.

We have the patch in both versions available here at TBL and we don't get shutdown for bandwith
And to answer other questions, yes the patch has an updated database in it so make a copy of your current database if you want to keep any editing that has been done to it. Keep in mind it's still a game designed to start in the summer of 2007 so the rosters are fixed at that point. The updates over the initial EHM 07 database resolve reported issue as well as add more players to the game in an 'unfaked' state than they were allowed to at initial release due to liscensing.
The 3.0.3 patch is also the only one you'll need even if you are updating directly from the release version. It contains the changes made in 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 so there is no need to run all the patches in order. Everyone can run the 3.0.3 patch to update their game no matter what other patches you have run.
I must say, I'm extremely confused as to how to install that extra config file... I too am would like to have Chistov on the Bruins (impossible to trade for him).
All you need to do is copy the file into your database folder to use it instead of the default version that comes with the game. Then, start a new game and you should be all set.

negatory.
download the extra config update - RIGHT HERE
Once downloaded, copy that file into your C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database folder. You'll be asked if you want to overwrite a file, click yes.
