I'm always wanting to minimize my game here and there to look up stuff and so forth. So I know either I can just save the game and exit it completely or I can just do the Ctrl-Alt-Del and make it minimize that way, but is there any button or something that I don't know about to make this easier?

Thanks for anyone who can help me out.
I run my game in windowed mode. It's in the Preferences section of the main EHM startup screen I believe. This gives you a minimize button just like any other window. It's not full screen, but I'll take it.
Windowed mode is the way to go. It's the only way I've played EHM since the first version came out. Then again, I play at work all the time so I want to be able to hide it quickly if someone comes into my office. It's also good if you're bouncing between windows, say EHM and Firefox or maybe Photoshop.

How does it not work? Do you get an error message? Does it just not look right? It's kind of hard to know what the problem might be when it just "won't work".
I've got the resolution set to 1280x1024 on my work computer and I think it might be set higher at home. The game runs perfect windowed on both. I forget what the default resolution of the game is. I want to say either 800x600 or 1024x768. What resolution is your laptop set to and what is it capable of?
Hey joe i tryed taht link u gave me and still no luck :s, and bruins, my screen resolution is 1024 x 768 wont go any higher, and i only have one other option and thats 800 x 600, i dont really want to buy a graphics card for my laptop, i dont even think u can do that. but yeah i really want to play it in window it makes it so much easier to navigate etc.

I think the consensus is that you can't use windowed mode unless you can set your screen width HIGHER than 800 pixels.
Did you check to make sure you entered the right info? Archi posted this:

I noticed that you can't do it unless you actually go above 800 pixels. Which by that time, you can't stand it, because you have to be face to face to see anything on the computer.
Unless of course you have a big monitor, but like most people in this world, we all don't... kind of expensive.

Anyway, I find that using Alt+Tab are just fine!
