You're right on this one and that's a good thing for Buffalo actually.
BTW I've opened a Playoff chat thread if you want to talk about the playoffs so we can all look back to see who was right without going back 500 messages to do it lol

Calgary is defnitely playing better right now. However, both Vancouver and Calgary better figure out it takes 60 minutes (not 40 like Calgary last nite, or 20 like Vancouver last nite) to win a playoff series. Both of em better smarten up or they are gone 1st round.

Right, but Calgary as a chance...They'll certainly end 8th in West, and if Red Wings finish first, it would be easy to knock them in the first round

Never underestimate that old cerberus called Hasek
I don't think Calgary played like "rubbish" in the first Minnesota game--I think they were outplayed but they hung on and Kiprusoff bailed them out, just like old times. It was a pretty effective road game, all things considered--they were physical and (compared to how they had been playing previously) very tidy defensively. The key is that they're finding different ways to win games--grinding out a close one against Detroit, coming from behind against a very strong Nashville team, fighting to a stalemate against Minnesota then playing an incredibly effective game with an early lead, and now hanging on for dear life against a suddenly inspired Canucks team. It's still going to be much more difficult than most Calgary fans think to clinch that spot--San Jose will be a challenge and Colorado/Joe Sakic are going to be absolutely fierce. If it comes down to Edmonton having a chance to knock us out of the playoffs, that's a scary situation.
I just bought the ninth season of South Park and saw the little league episode. I'm going to assume that's the locus for your name, batdad?
