PLEASE NOTE: ADVERTISING A LEAGUE/COMPETITION/WEB SITE/FORUM IS NO LONGER PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON THE BLUE LINE. We have had too many people take liberties with this privilege; signing up simply to advertise their site and not actually contributing to the community. We also see a lot of bumping of threads which is really just spamming the site. Anybody that advertises anything on TBL will be permanently banned for spamming.

[Popomundo] About Updates, Mood and Health (New Info!)

Post by archibalduk »

There is a random number of times per day that you get an update; at least two a popo day, but you can get up to 4+. That is when you get the message in your diary that you did your "spare time mission" and "career mission". These depend on what you have set in your Priorities & Skills options.

Some things are affected by where you are when updates occur so it is wonderfully annoying that they are random, this is why I've been talking about being chained to my desk writing songs because I don't want to go talk to someone at the park because I get that Murphy's Law feeling like the second I leave my house I'll get an update and miss out ](*,)

Songs turn out better if you are at home working on them when you get your update.

Resting works better if you are at home or in a park or in a perfect rated hotel. There were recently some kind of changes made to resting, but the developers still claim there wasn't :dunno:

Learning skills works better if you are at the University.

Working out works no matter where you are (as long as you have money) but you get a bonus for being at the gym at update time. You shouldn't try to work out when your health is in the red.

We've found out that if you have the money (and with our salaries most of us do) the best combination is to set yourself to focus on your skills and either Go Shopping or Go To Gym if you need mood or health respectively. This will cost you in the the beginning somewhere around 20-60 dollars an update.

Keep in mind that setting yourself to "Busking" can make you some cash but it pounds on BOTH your mood AND health so it's really only a new players option that shouldn't be done much past your first few weeks in the game.
