new skins?

has anyone had any luck with making a new skin? i think it is possible, but i havent tried it myself yet.........will do very soon. just wondering if anyone else has tried? and if theyve found any problems doing so...?

right ive been having a look at the .png files and they look pretty straight forward and shouldnt be to hard to recolour, so fingers crossed they should be done asap

not a 100% sure on a name yet, but ive got a few ideas im workin on

An ESPN-style skin would be cool - with all of the reds, whites and blacks.
It would go well with the ESPN font that Rabi's doing 8)

i think for the first couple im gonna keep 'em quite simple as im not 100% sure what im doing yet.........

well ok i'll do that now. i'm doing my msc (finishing up thank god!) so i'll "fix" the ESPN font so that it doesnt give out that stupid square box instead of TM. Also i remember making a request to GK to get him to split the font file for the titlebar and the rest of the game i don't know if he's done that yet. Again i'll look into this in october 1st or as soon as i have freedom again

if you can't wait until then i suggest you do the following:
d/l one of these files:
http://www.dafont.com/en/search.php?nq=1&q=espn

secondly unzip them and then rename the font file you want to:
humanist.tff

go to the directory:
%game dir%\data\fonts

backup the old copy of humanist.tff to maybe humanistold.tff

copy the ESPN font file into the directory.

now with patch 1.03 or 1.02 came the change to split the titlebar and ingame fonts seperately. in whatever case i'm going to optimise the font pack so that it fits in with Minstrel's Brushed Steel skin and Jim Harnock's NHL Titlebar set. When I release these on my site i'll post in here that they're available
