Can't send marc staal back to juniors or minors?

Post by TheCaptain »

I have a bit of a problem. Marc Staal is the #1 prospect i have, but he is only 18 and needs some more time in the minors or in juniors, but it won't let me send him to my AHL team or back to his junior team. He has 1 year of junior eligibility left, and is exempt from regular season waivers. He has never played a game on my nhl team. I am still in the offseason, so I'm not sure if that has any impact? Does anyone have any hints?

I am pretty sure it is because of the off season.

You can't send him to the AHL because he is under 20.

If you wait a few weeks I am sure you can send him to the juniors.

Yeah, it's because of the pre-season. Wait until somewhere around september, and you'll be able to send him down to juniors, or in the AHL if his CHL team releases his rights (which i doubt in the case of Marc Staal).

You should at least hold onto him until the pre season is over. It's possible that he could get better in a few attributes just by being on the roster for a few weeks.
