For those who don't know Stinson at one time was quite the controversial character named Bruce over at SI. Not sure why someone picked Bruce out of a hat. But someone did.
Yeah, that was 'newsguyone'. Probably one of the most annoying people I've talked to via keyboard.
And I don't know if the Bruce thing was to be subtly insulting, or if he really assumed the B could only be for Bruce... whatever it was, he kept calling me Bruce.

bruins72, I was under the impression that the role attributes were meant to determine a player's mentality. I didn't want him to be too offensive, but didn't want him to be a 20 on defense either, that's why I left some points. I thought about it and will go change it; that way my player will be as good as possible.
EDIT: So we can only edit post for the first 15 minutes after making them, so I will have to tell my change here. Raise Offensive Role to 11 and Defensive Role to 19.
It's more like a percentage type thing. Figure those 30 points to be 100% and you're allocating a certain percentage to offense and a certain percentage to defense.
I can't just change the offensive and defensive roles and leave it at that. Those two numbers affect other numbers (such as the points you've got to distribute between your offensive and defensive attributes. Why don't you go ahead and redo your player and you'll see what I mean. Just re-post your corrected player and I'll delete the old one once you have.
Any ideas on what will happen if one of our players retires early?
It appears Archi put some good thought into this and gave us the chance at a nice attribute level, so I highly doubt this'll happen, but I guess it's still possible... and likely to bum someone out at some point.

It's very possible. I ran one of these once, except the attributes were even higher.
Guy played in the french league opted not to re-sign with his junior team and he retired because he couldn't support himself playing hockey(why a 15 year old needs to support himself is beyond me).

He retires, becomes a regen and we contiunte the game. While you sit by aimlessly with nothing better to do, but worship the other guys players, drink beer, and think about what could have been. Or you could give back to your community and coach a little kids team?
In all honesty, I think he just retires unfortunately.
