dekenegt, you are still on the list. :)

I've been getting some PM's about this, so I'll throw an answer here....

The reason for the delay with everybody's avs is a long story. The story ends with me not having a working copy of Photoshop. Now, as a graphic designer, this is a big problem. :-o I'm heading out on vacation today, till the 14th - when I come back I WILL have this taken care of.

So yeah, patience is a virtue and all that - feel free to use the 'ADM style' NHL avs that are in the gallery in the meantime. :-D

I'm resurrecting this thread. =D>

Would anyone care for a new av? Or anyone who didn't get one the first time around? (I know there are a few of you - sorry.)

All I need is what team/logo you want on it and whether you want your username included as well. 8-)

Basically, tell me what you want it to look like and I will do my best.

I'm also thinking I could go for a new look, if Catch-22 is up for it? Something with a Blues player in front (Erkki Rajamäki! \o/ ) and logo in the background.

I'll look for a good pic at some point :-)

Heh... that was my worry too, Batdiddy. Would I know who I am and where is this forum?

I'll take my chances.

Oh... and no name on the avatar for me, thanks.

The new batdad. 8-)

Also, timmy and gibson - I made a mistake with your avs. They are both 5 pixels smaller than the max allowed size here at TBL. I have re-sized them for you. It doesn't make huge difference, but it's 5 extra pixels of avatar goodness if you want to swap 'em:

Hey Calv, I'm not having much luck finding a big enough copy of the 'eyes' logo. Have you got one kicking around somewhere? Doesn't need to be huge - 100 px across is enough.

Wow, great job on the Espoo one, CatchUp. I think that foreground player really completes it.

P.S. How long did it take to cut him out? It always takes me ages to cut-out people, or else I end up with a... well, a person that looks like he was cut-out.

Thanks B. Stinson!

To do fine cutouts like that, I use the Extract tool in Photoshop...it's actually in the Filter menu. Turn on smart highlighting, use a small brush (2-5 px) and then clean up the edges after clicking preview. :-D

***EDIT***
I realized I didn't say how long it took me...about 15 minutes to edit the individual player out of the photo Tasku sent...

I know what you mean about cutting things out, B. Stinson. I have the worst time with that too. I just don't have a steady enough hand.

I've got to say... that Tasku avatar came out especially sharp. I'm really digging that. It just grabs you. It really stands out. Brilliant work! Maybe once you've caught up on requests, especially for people who haven't gotten one yet, you could make me a new one... something similar in style to Tasku's but with Bourque and Bruins colors?

Thanks B72!

At the moment, I've only got Calv's on the list if I can find a decent sized logo.

I'll get to work on a new one for you right now... :swamped:
