Corinthian..YOu wanted Turris..you get Turris. Hopefully his 11 minutes per game won't kill you. Not to mention the NCAA wall he will hit in 20 more games. I love Kyle, but well..he is a rookie. Staal can get 75 points too, and plays more minutes with a better plus minus, and well...Beauchemin/Volchenkov should at least help my PIM totals a little. Good dealing with you.
For others...we spent over a week back and forth on this. Kyle started hot, so I liked him. But now with my problems in other areas....bye bye Kyle. Maybe I could have got more from others...dunno...but oh well.

i'm really widdled off by the effort of my most players so far.
derek roy and b.morrisson from whom i expected some assists are really invisiable "fantasy like".
also jovocob and bouwmeester are pretty bad, except ice time. connolly is injured and was a risk draft pick that didn't pay off til now. won't mention my goalie tandem of gerber and thomas who gave up minimum 4 goals each night.
also my trades didn't turn out the way i hoped.
brind amours doing ok but vrbata is a scratch right now for tampa. but aucoin (dropped), clowe and budaj who i gave up in that trade didn't do much so far also. (really thought budaj could be a no1 goalie for the avs, strange)
hope that horcoff for lupul trade will bring some positives for me. lupul was really bad so far.
....but it's a long season and i hope some guys could pick up their game.
it's the voros', dubinskys, mikko koivus, miettinens, webers and kotaliks who light up the league at the moment.

Well Batdad. Turris won't hurt me playing 11 min. since he's playing with Jokinen & Doan on PP line.
I guess it was a good trade since Beauchemin is getting hotter and I like how Minnesota and Sabres are playing in this season so far so Lydman & Bergeron should be good additions to my roster.
Just time will tell if Turris will fulfill my faith on him.

Actually, he could.Turris won't hurt me playing 11 min.
If you have two guys playing one night, and they average 20:00 and 23:00 on the ice, your final team average for the day would be 21:30.
But throw Turris into the mix with 11:00 that night, and your final team average for the day drops to 18:00.
I had this happen a couple times already where I started a player who only got low ice time in his game, and as a result he dragged down my team average for that day.

If you would be interested in James Sheppard..who is off to a slow start...let me know. He will be fine, just starting slow and I need a bit of a sniper now.
Also, anyone who needs assists..make me an offer for anyone other than Thornton or Stastny...with someone who has high ice time and scores..and we shall see.

Hehe seems I really suck at this. It probably doesn't help that I hadn't rated a goalie high enough and passed-up the opportunity to have Crosby/Ovechkin in favour of Zetterberg. My team feels distinctly average. If anyone fancies offering me a trade, I'm particularly interested in a goalie who sees a lot of games!bruins72 wrote:WOO-HOO!!!!!!

I've moved out of last place and into 19th! Enjoy your stay at the bottom, Archi. I'm sure I'll be back there soon enough.

Ovechkin was gone before your pick but Crosby was available. I got Crosby but he's not helping me all that much.archibalduk wrote:Hehe seems I really suck at this. My goalies haven't been exactly solid either. And to make matters worse, I think I've got about 6 guys who are out with injuries. One is for about a month but the others are all supposed to be DTD. I just wished they'd hurry up and start playing again. It's killing me!

I'd love to hit free agency but there isn't an option to put our players on the IR. If I want to replace an injured player, I'll have to waive him. I don't know that I want to lose these guys for the long term. In the short term it hurts me because I've got 6 players that aren't generating points for me at all.

Free agency is one way of curing team suckitis...

Regarding the free agency - I've been dabbling in that quite a bit in an attempt to patch things up a little. Though I'm still rock bottom

So Andrew Ladd for Cam Barker has now become Andrew Ladd for a "waived" Cam BArker, which in turn has become Brian backup Bobby Boucher!! Nice deal B72...
Since I have goalies who only seem to win once in awhile...and when they do...they let in a bucketful, I went out and got two backups for solid teams today. I will have to pay attention to the scheds of Dal/SJ and hope Stephan and Boucher get some ice time. Stephan was going to play tonight in NYI, but now that Turco got yanked 1/2 way through last night not so sure.
Hoping Bobby Boucher gets the start vs Florida (not Tampa, because then I have a losing goalie for sure)

That's okay. Ladd hasn't done anything for me yet. He's got 1A, 6 PIM, and 10 SOG. All in all, he's been useless. I'm hoping he turns it around soon though. Higgins and Gaustad haven't played a game yet this season due to injuries. Higgins should be back soon though. Stempniak just came back from injury. Hanzal has been DTD as long as I can remember but he's managed to play 5 games.
Oh I might as well not even have goalies. Biron and Ward have 1 win between the two of them! Ward has a 3.29 GAA and Biron has a whopping 5.00 GAA!
The one player who hasn't been a disappointment for me is Kessel. He's been everything I hoped for when I drafted him. He's got 6 goals already in just 6 games. Sure, he can't be expected to keep up that pace but I wouldn't be too surprised to see him eclipse the 30 goal plateau.
