You can do it. But there has to be 10 teams in there. The league structures are hard-coded, and therefore cannot be altered... The way to do it is with the ediotr.

This really belongs in the editing and add-ons forum. I'm moving it over there...

What league is AAL-4? If you choose a league which is not playable when you choose leagues, your new league will not be playable.

If you want a playable league, you need to make sure that you removed as many teams as you added. If you calculated wrong the league will behave strangly or even cause the game to crash.

If you choose to edit an unplayable league - or create your own one - you can add or remove as many teams as you like. Just make sure to keep backups, because sometimes the editor can screw up your database.

Good luck!

AAL-4 (All-American League 4) is in the original database, it's unfaked as the United Hockey League in the updated databases.

I know this isn't an editing question, but why was the AAL-4 even faked into the game to begin with? Seems strange to have all of these obscure real life leagues, but have a playable fake league

Licence issues, i think the ECHL and the UHL were faked back in EHM 2005 as well. Really only a few leagues had their actual names in the vanilla database, even some teams got faked names to begin with. It's got something to do with money (or the lack of it), i suppose. :-?

The CHL and UHL were faked, with most of the college hockey i do believe.

Just to get this correct:

If i replace a league (Danish Oddset Ligaen is what i have tried in the past) With a League that contains the same amount of teams, and then MOVE the league to North America with all new teams it will not be playable, correct?

As far as i know, that is possible and would be playable. Although you may not be able to change the country, but someone will need to confirm that, or try it out and let us know how it goes. I'm interested in making my Rec league as a replacement for one, so let us know how it goes. What (if any) issues or problems you get.

I don't believe it will work for the following reason: When you move a team to a different country the league will not be available (as far as i know, i've had problems saving a backup so i can't do it again) because there is no way to choose the league from the startup.
