We can have the same question for 10 ither players of the team....After such s disaster, time to move. Half of the team played like loser. Koivu, Kovalev, Komisarek, both Kostistyn, Higgins and Plekanec should get out of Montreal. Carey Price sould stay, the Canadian fan sometime ( often ) look like idiot. They all want the head of Price now.Wow, 21 years old goalie, SECOND season in the NHL were the problem? The fan want the player to have the experience right here and right now of a guy who played 10 years in the NHL. Come on this is ridiculus, wait for Price to have 24-25 yo and then we will see....but two more years like this? Yeah, it take some time to build up a great team, a lot of people don't understand it in Montreal. Right here right now......

I thought Higgins played well during this series. I wouldn't get rid of him.

Koivu is not needed to go! He is real fighter type player. He won the cancer, and is real hero in finland. Because he has also won -95 Gold MEDAL! :joy:

I think that Carey is not very stable.. But he is still young, and will evolve.

I hope that WHOLE staff gonna be kicked out, and new staff could bring some new winds to team! :-k

Some young goalies crack under extreme pressure and never recover. That's why it's best to take things slowly with them. Time will tell if this is the case with Price. I remember seeing it with guys like Blaine Lacher and Jim Carey. Maybe the same could be said for Raycroft but I think the B's took their time with him. They're definitely playing it smart with Rask.

Young Goalies are so hard to judge. Raycroft has been a major flop since winning Calder. I hope Mason (whom i think will win Calder) can become a top goalie in the league, and he doesn't go downhill. Rask did well in his little NHL experience he had this year. Varlamov has also stepped up well this year for the Caps, his last year in Russia was decent (Leading Yaroslavl to the Russian Playoff Finals). Not many good Russian goalies around at the moment. I can count 3. He could be the next big 1.

Sorry for you but Saky Koivu must leave the Montreal Canadian. Is time is come now, he not a team player, not deserve the captaincy of the club, they just let the ''C'' to him to make him happy, he take stupid penalty and he create gang in the room, thats not what a captain should do. The only thing why he is still in MTL it's because he is a good friend of George Gillet....so don't need to write more, you have you're answer.

When Mike Ribeiro begin to be good, Saku see him as a potentiel #1 center, so he was afraid to lost is #1 center position( well is just good for the third ) and you know what happen...they fight in a practice and Ribeiro was trade to Dallas a couple of month later. That's a reason why in MTL the have a big hole in center. If Koivu should stay in MTL it's without the ''C'' on the jersey, at less than 3 millions p/y ( impossible ) and like a third center, not more. So i don't think the little Saku would like to have this kind of treatment. Poor little baby...

Koivu's declarations (taken from this and this articles from TSN.ca) :

"If I'm not signed by July 1, I don't think I'll be back in Montreal"

"I think I need some time right now to get away from the game and just clear my head and think about what the future will be. Obviously, the team will do the same thing and they're going to go through the season and make up their mind on what the roster will look like going into next year," said Koivu. "This is a home for me and I love it here, I've no reasons to leave but at this point their plan has to be the same as mine if I'm going to be here."

A polite way to say: gimme more millions or burn in hell!

As far as Komisarek is concerned:
"We wanted to make this an unbelievable season," Komisarek said as the dust settled. "After the season we had last year, this is the last way I thought it would unfold. It's disappointing."

He doesn't look highly motivated to stay either... How to blame him?...

You're right Shadd, when we saw Komisarek saying this, me and my friend we think, Wow he speak already like he was almost gone, so don't think to see him again, but for Koivu you already know what i'm thinking lol

Apparently Zednik moving to the KHL with Yarsolavl? Hope the NHL doesn't lose too many good players.

Also... apparently the NHL has taken over the Yotes... Does this mean the Coyotes could be moving??? http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=277041

I've heard that the NHL want to pay the debt of the franchise first. But if the economic situation doesn't change maybe the NHL will move the team?

I really hope so, if Forsberg and Näslund returns to Sweden the next season will be very good, but Forsberg have to first get rid of his injuries.

Although I'm not a fan of Elitserien, it would be awesome to see Forsberg and Naslund re-unite in MODO.

Don't know how he reacts nowadays. But a few days ago, both Roy and Avalanche owner swore they are not even in contact, ha ha :yadda:
I thought this is common only in politics.

Well it's the best thing for the Avs... would you really want someone with as little experience as Roy to be General Manager AND Head Coach of an NHL team? Obviously the organisation did but I've read a lot on the web from fans who were hoping he would reject it.
