jays_leafs4life recomended me to show this little tool I made to the rest of you guys:

LOL Tools v1.1
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5X0C97SL

-simple tool to convert setups according to weather
-you can enter both spot-ons and ranges in format xx-yy
-left click on weather for current weather, right click for weather forecast, hover over images for a little hint to pop out
-generated setups are automaticly stored in clipboard, so just get your ass over BATRacer and press CTRL + V!

this took me about 3-4 hours to make, it sure was fun :-p

Okay, Teemu noticed me that wet parameters vary for each racing series, so now I only have to find out if they vary from race to race or are constant for the full season, I either put a drop down menu there or you will type the parameters manually. So far, this is a version for F1 only :nerd:

Yes, we are. As some of us is busy with another private game and not all of us has Kool Tools, that limits the user to just have 1 private game slot, with KT you got 4, we have to wait until it's over and then maybe some more weeks as some of us is busy and I got exams coming up. But as soon everyone is ready we will start it and I hope there's some new who can join in as well.

Here's a guide over the Driver Characteristics I found over at Batracer Unlimited's forum:
Mechanical Sympathy
Slider: Mechanical Symapathy

* Setting can be more toward abusive.
* Reduces any mechanical gremlins you may encounter during the race.

Wet Weather Warrior
Slider: Overall Speed/Pace (wet)

* Real speed is found when it rains.
* High wet pace setting without risk of crashing.

Pole Sitter King
Slider: Qualifying Pace

* Speed bonus in Qualifying only, but significantly larger than that of Speed Demon.
* Combined with Thinker can put you on pole almost every race with a perfect setup.
* NO bonus for the race itself.

Speed Demon:

* Small speed bonus in qualifying, the race and in the wet.
* One of the most useful skills to have, because instead of one large bonus in one area you get 3 small ones.

Consistent: You may set a higher pace with reduced risk of driver error and usually always will put in consistent lap times based on your set up.

Super Fit:

* Reduces rate of driver errors and helps you maintain your speed late in the race.
* Often overlooked, but I find this skill is actually quite helpful in many series.

As far as I've found using it, it prevents most errors and allows you to constantly push yourself to your limits, allowing more speed all through the race.

Concentration: I find that this skill drastically reduces those pesky driver errors, spins, crashes and other anomalies that you may encounter during the race. I have found no speed bonus aside from the reduced risk of any errors.

Lucky: I have only found that this skill prevents you from crashing in qualifying and loosing all your laps, or suffering a "mechanical failure on circuit" or anything like that. It may also help with collisions (for reducing damage to you) but I have not confirmed that part.

Committed: You always fight for points and will seem to go faster if you are further down the field, until you reach your "goal" position indicated in the race strategy section.

Cool: Reduces the risk of collisions when fighting for position on track, or driver errors that may result from on track position battles.

Aggressive
Slider: Aggression

* Can be set more toward Offensive with a greatly reduced risk of collisions.

Thinker
Slider: Experimentation

* You may set your slider more towards Hi-Data/Risky during practice and warm up and receive the best feedback with no risk of crashing, or loosing laps.

This is one of the best skills to have in the game.

The only set back is that it's very harsh on tyres, so if you are in touring cars or V8's where you have a very limited amount of softs to use, you may damage a set you need to use later in the race, or wear down 2 separate sets at a advanced rate. There is no worry of this in F1, as you can just use Hard tyres.

Control Freak
Slider: Race Start

* Reduces stalling or making a "horrible start".
* This skill does not, however, guarantee a perfect or great start. It simply eliminates the chance you will mess up.

I find that most of the time you will just make average or good starts with it set on 100. Very rarely will you make a fantastic start, but the skill is a handy one to have nonetheless :)

Wisdom
Slider: Qualifying Pace

* Set at 100 without crashing or being held up by other drivers during qualifying.
* Provides consistent top 10 qualifying results.
* Not quite the pace as Pole Sitter King but Pole is possible.

(Testers: BrundleB192, Dmanbluesfreak and Kerplunk)

Spatial Awareness:

* Makes passing easier and cleaner.
* If you are not a whole lot faster than your opponent (which is a huge bonus for passing) but rather just a small bit faster, you will still find a small opening and exploit it.
* I find it also reduces the risk of crashing as most (if not all) of the passes end up clean and with you the victor.

Bender: Not currently known.

Charisma
Sliders: Pitstop Speed vs Mistakes and Experimentation

* Allows you to set your mechanics slider higher (100) for error free pitstops.
* During practice and warm up, mistakes are eliminated just like Thinker but at a reduced feedback rate.
It was in this thread that I found it:

I've done a logo for the clan, it may be not so good but I like it simple.

The worst part is the text, but I tried different fonts and this one was one of the best.

I have just finished my private game. Would you believe if that stupid safety car went out one lap later I would win the whole thing? But instead, I pitted right when safety car went back in, and I dropped to last place. :( I even lost 2nd place in championship.

How about joining a Formula 3 championship? I heard that it allows up to 4 players per team, if we gathered 4 tbl users maybe we could form powerful team. :joy:

I found a great tool where you can upload your replays/races.

In one of my private games I have a teammate who hasn't showed up since joining. The game is F12009 and I'm in a Brawn. :joy:

So is anyone here interested to join me mid-season?

Sorry for triple posting, but I just read this note at Batracer:
BATracer Unavailable Until Further Notice

BATracer is presently unavailable due to legal issues following receipt of a letter this morning (2nd November 2009) concerning user-submitted content within BATracer. Efforts are being made to resolve this issue and to restore the site at the earliest opportunity following changes.

The ability to further upload user-submitted content for inclusion in the game has been disabled until further notice.

BATracer.com

Statement Concerning Infringement of Trademarks and Designs of
Ferrari S.p.A. "Ferrari" of Maranello

The inclusion of Ferrari material into BATracer was not authorised by Ferrari, and the activity of BATracer and user contributions was not in any way related to Ferrari.

All Ferrari content will be removed from the game, and all user-carset projects involving Ferrari content will also be removed.
If this is correct I wonder what impact that will have as almost every carset, all the F1s, the Le Mans Endurance and, of course, the Ferrari Challenge got Ferrari in them, there might be more. Will that mean that all those carsets are going to be removed or just the liveries that the users upload? :-k :-? :dunno:

And if they remove the carsets it might inflict on our racing season.

This is very serious and I hope that Batracer is up and running soon again, doesn't Ferrari have very much to do instead of doing things like this?
I really hope that this isn't the end for Batracer. :(

Not good news! Hope they can resolve everything, I don't mind if they take away the liveries, just as long as we have the game!

They may resolve it by renaming Ferrari to something else in game, and use a fake logo and a clean livery, meaning no sponsors, for the F1 cars.

It is utterly ridiculous though, surely it is free advertising? Ferrari should love every moment of it

Yeah, it is really ridiculous. But they found something small that they could bring down and pick at.

Though I think they should work on a car that can win in the 2010 Formula One season instead. :-D
