Can I sim any quicker?

Post by shinderhizzle84 »

Hello. So I just got EHM 07 last night, and decided to do a rebuilding team. So, I stuck with the Blues, who, at least according to Hockeysfuture.com, has the most amount of prospect depth in their system.. I am using Lidas' rosters, and heard somewhere he updates the prospects in his based mainly off of that site.

Anyways, to get to the point, because it's going to take a couple of years to make this team good (at least in the game), is there a way I can sim any quicker?

I don't want to have to do it day by day. If I absolutely have to do it day by day, is there any way to skip the whole annoying game section, where it shows the scoreboard? If I didn't have to go through the 30 seconds it took 90 or so times a season, it would be a big help.

Thanks for all the help, guys and girls!

Go to the options menu and click on detail, then set all to minimum

unfortunately, this doesn't really solve my problem, as I've still got to take the time to "play" all of my games, and then sim day-by-day.

Is there no feature to sim month by month? I would use the GM Vacation feature, but so far, all of the times I've used it, the computer GM has screwed up for me, either signing some old guy who's not that great, but is severely overpriced...or trading away someone vital to the organization in a severely lopsided trade.

Put simply... no. The game isn't made to quickly sim for long periods of time. You can use Calv's suggestion of changing the detail levels and then go on vacation. That's the quickest way to sim. Calv should know. He's done plenty of simming with our Create A Star games.

I think there is a setting to limit AI Gm trades

You need to change your settings in GM Options. It is that where reads "Set who to make offers for". Change that to "None" and your assistants don't ruin your roster.

You're right. But there is no way to avoid your assistant GM sending players from NHL to affiliate, even changing their affiliate they're currently in. He just mixes the team with your backups and without signing new players.
