Is there anyone here who's willing to give some help on downloading the database? I created a new folder for the database, then downloaded the database. Now this is where the trouble starts, when it downloads the computer says that the database is a Internet Explorer file and I cannot open it. I can open my other databases just fine, I just can't open the Jets one. I would really like to be in this challenge and since I'm lost and stuck I figured I'd cry for help. Can anyone help me

This really doesn't belong in this thread. This thread is just for discussion of the challenge, experiences with your team and such. This really belongs in the "Where to install add-ons" thread. It sounds like your problem is that you need to install WINRAR to open this type of file. Try that first. If you're still having problems after that and need more help, please use the other thread.Laker2415 wrote:Is there anyone here who's willing to give some help on downloading the database? I had my share of bad luck in the Islanders challenge when I had injured all three sucky goaltenders for 4 months. THAT, was a nightmare. Hopefully, I can avoid this situation this time.bruins72 wrote:OUCH!![]()
I'm just about to start training camp. So far so good. I've got my tactics setup, my training squared away, and even hired my AHL staff. I 've got my fingers crossed and I'm hoping I don't see any big injuries!

Just finished training camp. Not sure what to do with Ryan. Let him play on the 3rd line, or let him tear up AHL for a season. I'm leaning towards AHL...
Ruutu is also pretty hard to place. 3rd line LW or 2nd line RW?
Too bad Bruins chose Pahlsson over Morrison to replace Reinprecht (18-18 draw). I could really have used him for my 1st line, but I guess it's more challenging this way

LOL! That's exactly why I went with Pahlsson!
For the time being I put Ruutu in as my 3rd line LW, 2nd PP LW. Ryan is a tricky situation. I'm going to start out with him as my 3rd line RW but I think his morale is going to suffer. I should probably send him down. I'm going to give him a chance with the big club though.

So did I. Everything is ready, downloaded Jets logo, the Excel form, printed the rules so I can look at them anytime I am not sure... but I will start playing tomorrow since it's too late today.Qikdraw wrote:I got things set up last night so I can start playing, but haven't started any games yet. Still looking over the rules, etc... This should be interesting.

As much as i remember, there are two main reasons for negative reactions: nationality and your reputation.
If you are not a canadian guy taking over a canadian franchise, they won't be really happy. And then if you set your level of experience to a low level (like juniors or minors), they will be very negative on the hiring.
I started wit the Jets just for fun to see the roster and all that stuff (because unfortuantelly i don't have the time to play now). And i started as a canadian with a junior experience, because then you always get a "some fans feel the signing was a bad one, but others think it could be successful giving a chance" reaction. It feels like more realistic.
