Exhibition games

Post by toddr37 »

Like everyone else im sure, every year, teams propose exhibition games with me. My question is, is there any way for me to propose exhibition games with other teams? It would be nice to try to set my own preseason sched. Any help would be great.

Just go on to schedule there is a button that says organize (or something like that) and it gives you options to organize a home game, an away game, a tournament or a tour.

I always book a lot of exhibition games during September. I figure it gives me time to give more rookies ice time to evaluate them. I also do a yearly tournament against my AHL and ECHL affiliates, for fun.

I don't think so but I've never tried. If you go to your schedule, can you right click on any of the scheduled exhibition games? If there would be a way to cancel them, I'd think it would be by a right click of some sort. Still, I have a feeling it's not possible.

I don't think there is a way to cancel them. In the future, you should schedule them yourself. I try and schedule at least 8 home games in September. This gives my guys time to get ready for the season with some practice games, gives the rookies some playing time at the NHL level before I send them back down, and it also generates additional revenue for my team with the gate receipts and such.

I do it for the same reason. Gives time for the team to gel before the regular season begins, and helps mitigate the cost of payroll over a long season.

Also, if you schedule easy game for the pre-season exhibition game, your team will destroy them and the high player ratings for those games will help start your team's morale off high.

You CAN cancel exhibitions. First go to the schedule screen. Then change view from month to season. Press cancel button. It's on the match list. Then select the game you want to cancel and it's gone. You can also cancel tours and tournaments if you want. If you didn't understand I try to explain more carefully.

oh, wow! I'm saved! :joy: thank you A9L3E! another new feature in EHM, right? this game will never get boring.

the Lidstrom head coach organised three road games for three days. ](*,) (what do they call that? back to back to back games? :-) I'm not familiar with AHL terminology. :-) )

what I find strange about exhibition games, based on my previous experience, is that even if the other team plays its best lines, I always manage to beat the hell out of them. these games are always a good way to boost the players' morale for the start of the season.

anyway, thanks again!

Didn't know it's possible to cancel exhibitions. Thanks for the tip, A9L3E.
