The Card/Pics Dates and Names Error Thread

Sometimes these are errors in the game database, sometimes errors by the card/pic makers.

I figured it would be good to have a sort of bugs thread for cards/pics. So if you see someone with the wrong picture, a name misspelled on a 'card' style pic, or a date error then post it here! Also, if you made a one-off card for a player you found pictureless in your game you can put it up in your gallery and put in a link to it here.

I recently mentioned this one in the Carolina Challenge thread, the card for Cory Stillman got mixed up with the picture of Cory Sarich, both at the time of the orignal set's creation on Tampa. To correct that one I created a new card for Stillman. All you need to do is change the extension to .ehg

Also via the Carolina Challenge I've noticed (at least under unfaking 1) that Eric Staal's card doesn't display due to a birth date error. Can someone check what the date on the card file is? I don't remember what the file said since I changed mine already.

Another Challenge related card, here's the link to my reworked Tomas Fleischman WAS card.

There is also an issue with Vancouver's Auld; I believe he was previously Alexander Auld and in 2006 he's just Alex so to get his pic to pop up you need to change his card name.

The latest I found was Marc Chouinard using the unfake db needs his file name changed to this: Marc_Chouinard_6_5_1977.ehg If you see someone with no pic who you know should have one check for the file name and match it up with the in-game date. North Americans remember the file dates use a day_month_year format not a month_day_year format.

If I remember/run across any others I'll try and add to the list. Keep your eyes out and mention under what database you have problems as the matching/non-matching could be just in that database.

Great. Can you add the card names that people should use? You can click 'edit' on the pics in your Gallery listing and either rename the file with the card info or add the info to the file description.

I just went back and did that for my Stillman card too.

In talking with D88 about card "errors" we realized that the game may mix up birth dates, especially for staff members, when using an edited database.

So, the best we can say is that if you think a player or staff member should have a card and you aren't getting one in your game go to your pictures/players or nonplayers folder and check what date is on their card file name. You'll need to adjust that date to match your game's date of birth as displayed on their in-game profile page.

If you for example weren't getting coach John Smith's card to show and in your game his date of birth is June 10, 1974 go to your data/pictures/nonplayers folder and scoll alphabetically until you see the card file with his name on it. If you see it reads John_Smith_14_5_1974.ehg the card is set to May 14, 1974 so you will need to change the file name to: John_Smith_10_6_1974.ehg in order to see it in your game.

Note the date format used on these files is DATE_MONTH_YEAR not MONTH_DATE_YEAR.

I'm pretty sure the guy in the Jeff Cowan pic is actually JS Giguere. Unless I'm using a different pack, in which case nevermind.

Yes, I know, Iam a bit stupid!!!!

I have found some players who actually are in the facepacks, but the birth date was wrong or different then showed in the game....so I have corrected them, but I forgot to write it down!!!!....yes, as I already said...Iam stupid!!!

...I also have found some player pics who wasnt in the game and introduced them into my game (without the nice player-card look, of course)....but if I can help and send them to some of you guys, just let me know....ok¿¿¿???

...and another thing, this is off-topic, so sorry, but: does somebody of u guys know if there is gonna be a EHM 2006...or do we have to wait for next year for the next game???
I ask because I read, I think it was Archi, talking about the next game and it was EHM2007....

It's because we already kind of have EHM 2006. Basically, with the original un-patched EHM 2005, new games would start in the 2004/05 season. Patch 2.1.0 made EHM become (in all ways apart from its name) EHM 2006 because new games start in 2005/06. EHM 2007 will come out in September/October this year and will simulate from the 2006/07 season - that's why it's called EHM 2007.
