I honestly don't know if anyone has tested EHM on Win 7 yet. Sounds like you might be the test subject. I have no idea how to troubleshoot it though. I haven't even seen Win 7 yet.

So will EHM 2007 work on Windows 7? I'm debating making that jump and EHM could be a deal breaker.

Also will EHM work with 64 bit systems?

I'm pretty sure EHM runs on 64 bit Vista and it seems like it's just a matter of rights on Win 7... but I'd wait for confirmation on that.

It worked on the release candidate. That being said I have yet to get it running on the actual Windows 7 release. Btw, on the rc I did have to select to run as administrator. So far that has not worked with the actual release.

It's working for me on the 64bits version of windows 7. When you first launch it, it fails because of a missing DLL.

Just google the name of the DLL, download it and put it in the system64 (i think) of windows7.

Et voila :joy:

I already got the dll. I'm still trying to fix it going through anything I can. I also have the 32 bit version.

It's working fine under Win7 64 bit for me, as stated earlier just download msvcr71.dll. You don't need to put it in a system directory, the game directory should be good enough.

What doesn't seem to work though is the e-license control... Yay for old, unsupported, software.

When you say that the e-license control doesn't work, does that mean it doesn't allow you to license the software and use the full version?

I have resolved my issue. The issue was with Zonealarm. On the RC I used Comodo as Zonealarm was not officially supporting win7 when I started the rc. It appears i will be returning to Comodo.

Licensing the game to play the full version works fine but you can't access the license control from the control panel so you won't be able to unlicense it (to move your license to a new computer for example) I think.

Even right-clicking the ehm2007.exe file doesn't work? There should be context menu with eLicense shortcut.

Well that kind of stinks. I wonder if eLicense themselves might have a fix for this?

This is a common problem, even with XP.

I've always used ExplorerXP to get around it (or you can try any other free file management software).

If I remember correctly there is an upgrade they can give you to remedy this. They had me do it a while back when I had this issue.

That's good to know, there shouldn't be a problem then.

Installed EHM07 in my 64bit Windows 7 and had no problems and no need to download any .dll files. Working great here...

I just downloaded the demo to my computer with 32bits Win 7. Installed and installed the latest patch. When I start the game and click "TRIAL" I get this message:

"No restrictions - at least one of the days, executions or hours must be restricted 15"

And the game don't start.

I believe it works with the demo without any patches, but once the 3.0.4 patch is applied it requires the special dll to play.

I have EHM 05 running on Win 7 (64bit) but can only run it full screen. Also, for some reason I can only run it with Comodo (my firewall) off. I am new to using Comodo so that may be the reason.

Anyone had success running EHM 05 windowed in Win 7? I know the ways around it in other windows versions.

I have a 1280x768 resolution on my laptop, so i can't uncheck the full-screen in options. That you write (- small_windowed blabla) after the target-location doesn't work either - so what can i do to play it windowed in Windows 7?
