I usually go with 2 coaches for conditioning, one with some forwards coaching ability and the other with some defensive coaching ability. Then I try to go with ones with a conditioning based coaching style. After that I look to see that they've got decent numbers in Motivating and Discipline.
When you set up your practice schedules, make sure to never put Conditioning or Skating at less than Medium intensity. Honestly, I never put any of them lower than that.

This dude is whining all the time, and I'm not sure why.
I took over the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL, and since I had 8 centers and 1 left wing, a few guys had to learn a new position, and none of them liked it. But eventually they learned to play the position, so I took them off left wing practice. That solved the problem for most of them, except for one.
I'm in my second season now, and Jonathan Parker has been doing the same practice regimen as everyone else for about 11 months, but he still complains about practice one or two times per week. It's not making him unhappy, and his morale seems okay, but it's irritating me to no end.
Has anyone experienced this before? He's not practicing left wing, but he is playing it in games, is that what he's whining about? Should I put him at center, his natural position?

That's what I've heard as well. I usually try to pick the 3 best coaches for any given area and assign them to that. I also try to limit each coach to training 3-4 areas. The one exception I might make is the head coach. If he's good in all areas I might keep him involved in all of them. The one thing I won't do is assign someone to goalies if they're not really good in that area.

Beside tiredness and the risk of injuries, are there any drawbacks of having 3 intensive and 3 normal programs on a training schedule? Like 'focusing on too many things means not focusing on anything at all' or something like that.
I would be very grateful, if someone had the time to take a look at my farm coaching staff... Are they good enough?

I've always used the 3 intensive 3 (actually 4 if you include goaltending, which seems to help positioning) normal and I've never really had any issues.
As for your farm coaches, your link doesn't work. Honestly, just try to hire the best you can. At that level it's a matter of who will sign for you.

Quick question for you guys. During the summer one of my star players offensive attributes dropped off quite a bit, what could have caused this to happen.
I had him set all summer to intensely practice everything except goaltending, he is 27 years old and although my coaches are nothing special they also aren't bad.

In EHM 2007 i didnt find intensity in the practice panel. There is only percentage of power play/ and pkilling and Even Strenghts .
What i discover in practice is that
conditionning good for centers to won face off - Tactics is crucial to succes in power play and to have an offense able to create thinks - important locate your best top guns and train in Shot the day before the game .
if someone can just help me too find the intensity if there is one it will be appreciate !!
The Game is still tough but it is an amazing game.

New Position Training
Do you guys train new positions much?
I probably have at least half my team training new positions, for maximum versatility (e.g. my first line last season was Jeff Carter--Spezza--Alfie). But since I don't see people writing about it, I'm guessing that I'm probably overusing it?
If so, what's the downside to it?
Also, that's neat about the benching -- I will have to test it out!

I honestly haven't done much (if any... maybe when the game first came out) training for a new position. You can train, train, train on a new position but whether or not your player picks it up all depends on a hidden attribute (only seen in the editor) called Versatility. This attributes determines if a player can pick up a new position or not.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but I've been doing some searching and couldn't find an answer anywhere else. I want to have my Head Coach handle the training, but I'd like to choose what areas my coaches train. The practise guide seems to elude to the fact that this is possible, but whenever I go to options and set my Head Coach to handle training he assigns the coaches to new, and inferior in my opinion, roles.
Is there anything I can do about this, or are my only options to either leave it up to the Head Coach or handle training myself?

If you don't want the Head Coach to change the areas that your coaches train you have to have control of the training yourself.Ancelotti wrote:Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but I've been doing some searching and couldn't find an answer anywhere else.
