Are you running Vista? If so, I think your problem is that you don't have the permissions to access the files needed to run the game. Try running it as Administrator and it should work fine (I used to have the same problem).

Actually, I've been having the same problem with this error message since midway through my first season in EHM 2007. Started getting the Disk I/O error message sometime in mid-to-late January '07 just before the "free trial" period ended. Still exists after purchasing the game outright.
The I/O error message seems to pop up consistently just as the program finishes sim-ing each portion of the day (i.e. switching from AM to PM to EVE). There's an "OK" button in the error message, so I've just been hammering the button until the sim is complete and the game screen becomes accessible again. Takes a few minutes sometimes and is a big pain in the arse, but I've been able to play (so far) right through to the following January (2008). Other than the lag time, the biggest problem I've seen is that the game isn't properly recording each player's stat history. As soon as a guy moves teams, his stats seem to erase and can only be found in the Game Log section, so it looks like player histories will be suffering from long-term memory loss throughout this game run.

Anyways, I'm quite hooked on my current game and pain-in-the-arse or not, I don't want to re-boot my game (thanks Bruins72 for the "fix" info) if it means I'll have to start over from scratch. If I attempt the uninstall/reinstall exercise, is there a way to "save" my current season info or am I baically screwed?

Also, I'm not on Vista, but will double-check the Adminstrator option as another fix to the problem.

Yes, you can save your current game if you uninstall and reinstall EHM. If you look in your "My Documents" folder you should see a sub-folder called "Sports Interactive". Inside of that should be another sub-folder called "EHM 2007". And inside of that is a sub-folder called "Games". Inside this "Games" folder you should find the actual saved game file. If you named your game "Bruins Rule - Laffs Drool", the file would be named "Bruins Rule - Laffs Drool.sav". You could just copy it someplace and then after your uninstall and reinstall, just copy it back to that same location. Actually, I'm pretty sure the uninstall won't touch your saved games but this way is safer.

"v3.0.4 staff_contracts.cpp 3112" error

Post by MKoivuFan »

I just got this error on Feb 16th 2007 and the error is "v3.0.4 staff_contracts.cpp 3112"

MOD NOTE: Renamed the subject of this post. In the future, please use a subject line that actually tells something about the thread. "ehm error" is not an acceptable title. - B72

Did you edit anything with either the pregame editor or the saved game editor? If so, it appears to be a problem with something you edited. If not, it's probably a corrupted save.

Hi GruesomeEight. Welcome to TBL! Please note that we prefer it if you don't post topic titles in all capitals.

If you move the Bison into the EPL then you need to move a team out from the EPL to the EIHL. You cannot alter the number of teams in a league otherwise it will cause a crash.

The Editors can be found here:
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/dl ... ile_id=570 - pre-game
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/dl ... ile_id=488 - saved game

Can I suggest downloading the latest Lidas Roster update found here - http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/dl ... ile_id=597

It has both Bison and Manchester in the EPL. One thing to note though you still will be playing in the Challenge Cup due to the teams being hardcoded into the cup. There was nothing I could do to get round the problem :dunno:

Fatal v.3.0.4 database.cpp 4133

Post by arizona_icedT »

I have a problem that is causing my game to crash and was wondering if anyone could help. Whenever I try to load a game or create a new game during the loading process a little box pops up. This box says "Fatal v.3.0.4 database.cpp 4133". Then I press OK and the game crashes. Help?

Thanks.

Admin note: Added full error to title.

What OS do you use? Have you tried to run it with clean patched installation? No custom addons, standard database...

Even with non-licensed version? The free limited patched version returns this error message?

Are you using a modified database?

It happened before I modified the database. And the patch I am using, I got from the EHM website. Everything works fine if I create a new game, those load, but a previous older game won't.

v3.0.4 utils.cpp729

Post by GMO »

I sometimes get this error (v3.0.4 utils.cpp 729) when viewing a player.
It doesn't seem to affect anything.

Does anyone know what it means?

Thanks.

Error 3.0.4 league.cpp 7740

Post by McSkippy454 »

I did a search, didn't see anything, so apologies if there is one.

But, I just went to load my game (exited out like, 15 minutes ago) and at the end of the load, I get an error stating: Error: v3.0.4 league.cpp 7740.

Basically, is this save game filed screwed or is it fixable? Thanks!
