HS Facepack - Official Thread

Post by Reynaldo28 »

Welcome to the Official HS (Head Shot) Facepack thread.

These facepacks are designed to show only the head, in if possible, a white helmet, the reason behind this being; when players are traded, the facecpacks jersey does not change, but if the facepack only shows a white helmet, it does not look out of place.

Now you may be thinking, hmm maybe they wont look nice on your skin. Now I can assure you they will look nice on any skin due to the semi transparent border. This means no matter what skin you use, the border adapts to the background.

Now that I have rambled on, time to get down to business, here are two previews of the pack:

Nice huh?

If anyone is willing to help me make these give me a PM and I will sort everything out for you! (Must have Photoshop)

Thanks
Will

Thanks a lot mate! Nice to get positive comments, if we could combine positive comments with volunteers I would be over the moon! Not expecting much though due to Andy's fabulous cards.

They do look good, and I like the white concept. Unfortunately, I have no time and no photoshop, so I am useless to you. But look at my gorgeous avatar! I am so cute. :-D

Ah no bother at all batdad, I'm glad you like them and it is not a problem that you can not help, only because of the "gorgeous" avatar! :D

Even me as a Rangers fan, well more of a Lundqvist fan, think it's a cute one. :-D

Sadly, while I do have PS, I'm also in the no time category. What you should do is try to break it up for yourself...maybe release the packs by NHL division.

That's how I attempted my cards - I think I got through one division and decided it was too much work on my own.

Yeah you were too busy coming up with pretty avatars. rangers still suck. I think that their headshots in the game should all be that pretty purple. Don't you agree Reynaldo? Do them first. :-D

Yeah, I wish I had more time to help out with all the various projects in the works around here. By the time I do the av requests and post a few times, I'm outta time. :thdn:

These are nice, slick looking cards and there are a few users who have PS around. I'm betting you'll get a couple of folks who like the cards enough to pitch in on getting them released.

Hey Will!

I think those head shots are awesome! Great job, mate.

Unfortunately, I have neither Photoshop nor time, so I can only help by means of encouraging words. Keep up the good work!

For those of you without Photoshop who are interested in helping with projects like this, have a look at GIMP.

It's basically a free-ware Photoshop.

Good point, Catchup! GIMP would be especially easy to use for this since it's just a picture without a hockey card like border with various elements to it. It makes it so that you don't need to use a template. That was one of the issues that people ran into with trying to create cards from other sets. GIMP couldn't handle the Photoshop templates. But that shouldn't be a problem here.

Me and Joe tried to get it to work on GIMP to no avail. But if someone else wants to give it a go just give me a shout :)

If you get it to work on GIMP, I could do some finns on my spare time!

Hey,

The cards look rather kool. But alas at this moment in time I also have no time to help make the cards. I should have some free time in the new year to help, if you still need it. That is if you don't mind getting help from a 'rival' card maker!!

Keep up the good work.

Rival card maker! No way! We are a community here at TBL and I respect every member and their ideas. We need to work together, and the fact you offer help to other members despite having your own project is a very very nice gesture.

I much appreciate it!

As I said, Hopefully by the new year I would have done most of the major leagues I would like to get done done. So I should have a bit of free time to help you out. If its still needed. I also free that as a community people should have the right chose which card/logo style they like best. Instead of being restricted by what style has more cards/packs.

Well thats just my opinion!!

Exciting times, only 6 or 7 Flyers to go and the Devils to finish off, then the release of the Atlantic pack will be available! I apologise for some of the picture qualities, but for the style I want, the jersey must not be too visible, so I have sacrificed picture quality for the consistency. The download should be uploaded tomorrow morning, hope that the link is approved by night time for you guys to enjoy.
