save game stat extractor printer formatter

Post by IrishBouzouki »

I'd like to have an add-on tool that could take the full set of player season (and maybe career) stats for all the players that played for a team during a season and print them to a text file.

The current stat printout in the game has some issues... only the "first page" stats are included so no GWG etc... only the stats for the games with the present team are shown (except, oddly, for a player on loan who incorrectly shows their entire season with the most recent team but that is also a bug in the game stats). And there is no season or career totals. You can see them "in-game" but they are scattered across various screens and you can not print them out in any case.

You can see what I mean if you look at my less-than-graphically-colorful blog a few posts down.

I'm a very good programmer but I do not know anything about save game files, and honestly I really do not want to know anything about them beyond what is needed for the stat printout.

So if anyone has already done this I would be interested in taking a look at it (I'd suggest -always- using a backup copy of the savegame on any external tool just in case). And if not and there is someone with the savegame file knowledge who would be willing to leak *only* the player stat data to me to gin up an external tool then I'd be willing to do that.
