I prefer Dan Carcillo, he's very skilled for being an enforcer and he's actually been putting up quite nice numbers for me. 59games, 11goals & 26pts. 74games, 17goals & 34pts. but he's playing on an offensive line with Mike Richards & Adam Hall, so i guess most of those points came quite cheap :D

I recently aquired "Robin Big Snake" aswell, i just had to get that guy... such a nice name :D
But i havent tried him out yet.

Cairns retires on day one and becomes a scout for the Islanders. As for Robin Big Snake, he's useful in the minors as an enforcer. I wouldn't use him on the NHL squad though.

I guess it would depend on the roster version you have. I was using the latest that Lidas released for the 08-09 season.

I prefer to have at least 4 guys on the team that can drop the gloves. Last year, my roster was pretty stacked with forwards but I felt like they were getting pushed around a lot. I got rid of a couple of my forwards for high end draft picks and finally made some call ups.

Heading into year 3… so 08-09 my checking line is one of just absolute terror and dirt. (I see my attributes based on 100, just divide by 5)

Carcillo – Downie – Hollweg
Carcillo developed to 60+ in pokecheck and 56 in positioning…
Downie (slow developing) has a 41 in positioning and a 60+ in pokecheck
Hollweg (most rounded) 70 in pokecheck and 65 exact with positioning.

The season hasn’t started yet so I have no clue if I want to keep these players together? Or split them up amongst my roster.

Another gem I found was Brian Mezei in Europe. 80+ Aggression, 90+ stamina, 82 in positioning… his offensive attributes are from 40-60 (not very good) but I signed him to a 3 year deal at 750K/per. A solid 3rd pairing defensemen.

A question I had is… if you get a developing star player to fight would that lower his ceiling? Should I avoid using him in an enforcer role? There are a couple on my team that I’m half way in b/w. I already have 4 fighters. Guys like Jack Johnson, Brent Burns, K. McArcdle (sp) all have Aggression about 70 but I don’t want to devalue their stock. Any suggestions?

Alexander Svitov, On Unfaked. Plays on Blue Jackets. He is good enforcer, but has ability to score and pass. Currently:
37gp 8goals 21assists, 7+ and 114pim. 4 times fighted. with ''Allowed'' i have tested if i set engourage, he will fight in every game, but then loses the ability to play.

my question about enforcers is im playing the ohl level and i am wondering is it better to have 3 skilled players on the top line and then a enforcer on like the 3rd or fourth line or say the enforcer on the top line to protect the key prospect?

I put in Svitov between Semin and Jagr and Svitov made something 20G and 45A. Was great. Actually, Svitov felt unfair because he still had 150 + penalty minutes... :dunno:

jarko Rutuu is another good enforcer. Also a bit expensive, but can score. On my third line he had 15 goals and 18 assists through 60 games.

Andre Roy right now is my main enforcer and his rating is around 7, I know he's not called an enforcer in the game, he's a defensive forward it says, but his game is basically the same as an enforcers, he's shown he has a tiny bit of offense to his game, also a good checker, so I think he's alright.

I had a 7.5-ish season with Zack Stortini on a 4th line. 22 pts in 50 games.

I just guess he needs to be used with tthe right center.

my enforcers now are Tollefsen, Frogren, Artyuhkin in my Leafs game and in my new game i started in season 2 now, i was able to buy Kaberg from Farjestads. I've been raiding the SEL mostly HV71, MODO and Farjestads for players during the off season. we will be moving up the SEL after being Promoted.

my team is to good for the swe-2 but not good enough for the SEL...

In my Leafs game Colton Orr has been awesome winning 24 out of 28 fights. He is also a +2 this season.

My last stud enforcer was Laraque, a while ago. I think he's a bit more expensive than most, but I remember him being a good fighter, and was close to 1000 PIMs a couple times.

Also, he would consistently get around a mid-7 average ratings over the season (4th line), and was solid in the playoffs, too.

I generally don't run with an enforcer, but I did have an old game where Todd Fedoruk did a decent job of beating up everyone I pointed him at.
