Good evening @ all!

I just started with the challenge tonight (it's my first ^^, but have been playing quite a lot of seasons)

I just want to know if it's really necessary to run all the other leagues despite the NHL on enhanced mode!?
I ask this because my Pc is a real ancient model and I almost fell asleep in the preseason

....

I know that it won't be that realistic, but I don't really understand the point if I just quicksim these leagues, I dont think that it makes a difference!? .... THe only one would be that I could finish the first season before the deadline, what i would really appreciate

Hi Flying Buffalo! I see that this is your first post. You should head over to the arrivals thread and introduce yourself to everyone.

To answer your question...

3.3 You can select your game to 'run' as many leagues in standard or enhanced as you'd like. However, you have to at least set up your game with NHL, AHL, ECHL and Canada's Junior teams set to 'Enhanced'.

You don't have to include all of the other countries, even in standard mode, but these 4 must be set to enhanced.

Sorry, but this is my first challenge and english is not my mother tongue. I just want to be sure about on thing. It is about the rules for the second season and onwards:

Is the pyramid in Cheat Sheet the "UFA pyramid"? So I can choose one of those tiers and also have one trade? Or is the T (in "T1" and "T2") standing for Trade?

Can someone help me out?

From the 2nd season onwards, you can choose to make one trade. Apart from the trade, you can sign one or two UFAs (Unrestricted Free Agents, depending on whether you choose Tier 1 or Tier 2) OR get one player from waivers. So you can make up to one trade a season, and you may also choose one level from the pyramid (T1, T2 or waivers).

Yes.

4.1 For the purposes of the rules, each season begins on 1 July and ends the following 30 June.

My game started 13 aug. i dont know why. I use all leauges on advanced and sim ALL games in the game

Is it considered cheating to start 2 weaks before?

The game defaults to starting on August 30th if you're using the NHL. You have the option of starting earlier if you've got the Canadian Junior Leagues set to enhanced (like we do in the challenges) but the rules state that you're supposed to use the August 30th start date. You had extra time to work on signing players and that's an unfair advantage over everyone that followed the rules.

We'll have to figure out some sort of penalty to tack on to your stats.

Everyone... PLEASE make sure to read the rules carefully and follow them!

I don't know about that. That's a bit extreme. Plus, I think there are improvement points between seasons 1 and 2, that would give you an extreme improvement from season 1 to season 2.

We'll figure out a penalty and let you know. Just make sure that you follow the rules carefully from this point on.

when trying to sign russian prospects some join in on 30 april after their contracts run out. are we allowed to sign those?

in the cheat sheet it stands from 1 may to 1 oct to sign unsigned prospects

When did you sign them? That is the question. If they accepted in say September, then it's ok if they join in at April 30

I think the rules could get a small segment that clears this up, neither I wasn't sure about how this worked before asking about it.

Like Manimal said, the date that matters is when they agree to the contract. The European transfer window just won't let them move over until later.

my game keeps crashing on me on 26th to 27 aug. i have tryed alot of stuff to get pass it. holiday it, replay from draft ,add another manager or anything just to see if i can pass the date. I cant go further. i have original 3.04 game and never had problems like this.

it just stands- ehm 2007 have encountered an problem and needs to be closed down.

any advice on this ?

I solved the problem. The game crashed when computer tryed to make practise games for mid september. I could pass the game by resigning my ECHL and AHL coach

Quinn retired in the off-season so I'm without a head coach at the moment. I lost Renney on July 1st and he was my biggest prospect for HC if Quinn retired. So I wonder if I sign Renney again will his 6 month limit to be a HC be reseted or will I be able to sign him as HC even though he was out of the club for some weeks?

If Renney left your team because you didn't re-sign him, you're going to have to sign one of your current assistants (or maybe a scout) to become your HC. If you want to sign another assistant with the intention of making him head coach after 6 months, you can do that.
