Thanks for offering, but I believed I solved it yesterday. Didn't get much editing done though.visualdarkness wrote:I'm also avaible for some bug-testing, if things works on my computer, it should work on every computer on this planet...Danny wrote:I can run a test or two a week over night if you need some help.Lidas wrote:Hmm... it crashed again, on the same computer - but it didnt crash on my other computer. I found a goalie who was assigned the value 11 instead of 1 on RD. Dunno how long it's been in there. Ive had the DB crashed before due to the same problem.visualdarkness wrote:Good to hear!
What was the problem?
I'm currently checking the db for tweaks and I hope to come up with some. When will you release the next version, under the olympic break, the trade deadline or somewhere in between?
As for the DB release... today

We need it for the next challenge, so if you want them into this release, you'd better hurry up.

Some random "corrections" while watching the players
NHL:
Milan Lucic - Aggression +1 to 17
SM-League:
Jokerit - Jukka Hentunen - Slapshot +2 to 15
HIFK - Ross Lupaschuk - Stickhandling +2 to 12 and Wristshot +1 to 14
Scores a lot of goals in PP and takes a huge part in offense
Ässät - Marko Luomala - Movement + 2 to 9, Stickhandling +3 to 12 and Wristshot +1 to 13
Leading goalscorer in SM-League. Also has weak attributes.

Coach Per-Erik Johnsson should have a 1-year contract, instead of 2.
Jersey number 21 is retired in the extra config file, but not in the game.
Also, will the J-18 rosters come in next version? Otherwise I create with "0"-attributes.

I'm playing the Kamloops Blazers and the same thing happens to me in every draft no matter where I actually finish. I played a junior game in the original DB and I'm pretty sure that the draft worked properlyAlex the Tall wrote:I don't know if that bug has been reported, I also don't know if it's related to this Roster.
I am playing in the WHL (Saskatoon Blades), been 2 seasons I finish in first place and for a weird reason I am drafting in the 14th position...

Was wondering Lidas if you had any intentions of fixing up the first CHL drafts so that teams aren't drafting just rubbish Tier 2 filler? I know there's very little information about the top guys for each junior league's draft, but even a bunch of created players with random potential would make it a lot better, and certainly make it more worthwhile to start in junior, because otherwise there's almost 0 point to the first draft. After that though, the junior drafts are obviously fantastic, but it makes the 91 birthyear garbage.

Arf! At least I am not the only one. But even if you finish last in the WHL, you get the spot #14? That sucks!CeeBee wrote:I'm playing the Kamloops Blazers and the same thing happens to me in every draft no matter where I actually finish. Hal Gill's speed, agility, balance(maybe 14 would be good here) and acceleration needs to severely lowered, he is famous for being a brutal skater who lives on his hockey sense, size/strength and positioning.
"He isn't the best skater, as is the case with most big defensemen. Gill doesn't have the speed to recover if he finds himself out of position, so he relies on playing a stay-at-home game when he can. He is also limited offensively, but still proves to be very effective in the role he plays. Gill is a top six defenseman on most NHL clubs."
Positioning, strength, anticipation and checking could use a buff instead.

We haven't even had the time to put in all CHL-players, yet. We are working on that but there isn't time enough to do the upcoming drafteesPensFan101 wrote:Was wondering Lidas if you had any intentions of fixing up the first CHL drafts so that teams aren't drafting just rubbish Tier 2 filler? Alright, thanks for the quick response. Again it's not a big deal.Manimal wrote:We haven't even had the time to put in all CHL-players, yet. Also, I did notice a weird glitch in my DB. It's currently January 6th, 2007, and upon loading my DB most recently, I noticed that the U20 countries in the WJC all had their names switched around.
For example, Finland became the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, US became Turkmenistan, and Canada became CIS (in team name only).

When you're in the WHL (I have started unemployed with the Lidas 2.2 and Ceebee is telling me the same problem happen with the 2.1) you doesn't get your right place in both Bamtam selection and CHL import draft. I finished first in every of my season in the WHL and I got the 14th pick. Ceebee also told me he has the 5th draft in the CHL Import when he finished first in the CHL.getzlaf15 wrote:What goes wrong with the draft?Alex the Tall wrote:Can someone tell me if this draft problem can be seen in the other CHL leagues (OHL and Quebec) and if there's a way to make the draft work properly?
So I did a test to see if it was my NHL EHM 07 that had a problem with the unfake database and it seems I had the right spot with that roster.
