Falling attributes and below salary floor

Post by lwa11 »

I am a little confused at what is happening and would love for an explanation.

I am in in the 2015-2016 season and there are many NHl clubs below the salary floor and it makes it almost impossible to trade with them. And the players attributes are horrid. You can see players with decent amounts of ice time all over the league with many attributes in the red.

Is there a way to fix this?

Also is there a way to have no salary cap?

Thanks in advance!!!

The falling attributes is a known bug experienced by some, it will be fixed in the imminent patch. It may be connected to why so many teams are below the floor.

No salary cap is possible, it was a feature enabled in the previous patch. With patch 3.0.2 you need to set the cap amount to a really high number like 999,999,999 rather than 0, but with the new patch you will be able to set it to 0 to remove it completely

Thank you for the response.

Could you tell me where to look for the cap option? I appreciate it.

Sincerely,

I don't know for certain, but it is something to do with the extra_config file. Someone here will be able to help more with the details.

You will have to start a new game for it to take effect, with the new patch imminent and including a lot of fixes it is probably best to wait for that.

I already have the 3.04 patch and this is still happening to me. I'm really far in my Panthers Franchise and don't want to restart it. I haven't seen the attribute bug but the cap bug is still there.

What's the fine of starting the season below the salary floor? I'm currently playing with a real low budget team and I want to keep it that way =)

You can't start the game if you're not cap compliant. The game will force you to make trades and the continue button to proceed to the game will be inactive.

Did you start the game with the 3.04 patch? If the game was created in an earlier version, it's still susceptible to the bug.

I have similar problems in my Wild/Coyotes save.
I'm in 2016/17 season now and in every team are 1-5 star players tired all the time.. they barely play 5 games in season. Is that attribute bug? Tired player attributes doesn't decrease though..

Lazion, I think I have the same bug.
Year 2009/2010 and Kari Lehtonen is acting weird

Ondrej Pavelec has played 67 games and Lehtonen has been 'Tired' all season. This is a bug right?

i got same problems and they is caused by too hard practise. i put tired guys on resting and when they are over 90% i continue their practise. these problems usually occur in the preseason.

That is happening in computer manager teams. Here's my Lehtonen.

Traded him to my team and after I gave some relaxing time to Lehtonen everything is fine.
All I have done to db is that I changed nearly every summer salary cap bit higher.. maybe thats the reason?

I'm pretty sure I've been below the floor and have not had any problems, other AI teams have also been below the floor, I think it's only if you are over the cap that it's a problem.

I think IceTimer is right... it should only be a problem if you're over the cap. Because I would assume EHM uses the same basic cap-floor mechanics as the NHL, which I believe involves using some minor league salaries to put your numbers above the cap-floor.

Just wondering why he has played 10 games and lost just 1 time and no wins, he doesn't make it past a few minutes in a game before he's too tired?

The screen says that he has only played 14 minutes in those 10 games. So no, he's not capable to play full games.

Huh I forgot about replying in this thread :)
Stinson I don't think the NHL just keeps adding contracts until you've reached the floor, there's a certain limit. Although admittedly as somebody already pointed out my explanation referred to being over the cap not under the floor. I just assumed it must be the same. Sorry if I was wrong on that one.
