Austrian league bug

First of all sorry if I posted this in a wrong place. If I did, please remove it.
As for the bug;
Austrian EBEL league has 56 games and 8 clubs. Beneth league standings there is a message that team points are halved at mid season. I had 41 points at game 28 and just before game 29 now I have 12 points. I am still first but my points were not halved. This happened in all 4 previous seasons. Is this a bug or no? Can we fix it?

Thanks for your reply. Wanted to give it a try to fix it but I will move to AHL hopefully so no need now. If it is not so complicated I could give it a try.
