Which leagues feed the ECHL

Post by demons19 »

Can someone tell me which leagued are essentially the feeders to the ECHL?

I understand the AHL feeds the NHL.....the ECHL feeds the AHL.....who are the predominant leagues that feed the ECHL?

Thanks

NHL->AHL->ECHL->Major Juniors(OHL,WHL,QMJHL)/CIS and if your can the odd US college player... I suggest watch the news to see who the other teams are going after because the odd time u could end up signing a good player

Also players can be occasionaly found in the CHL, LNAH?(sp), SPHL and other lower pro leagues. I also look for players in the US college ranks that have slipped through the cracks. Sometimes they are older and more experienced but don't have the pro games so you have them longer before they count against the veteran maximum.

As an ECHL team you can't sign players from the UHL or CHL. I look at the SPHL, CIS , NCAA and OHL/WHL/QMJHL and sometimes the LNAH

ECHL Feeding

Post by patrickgirard11 »

Good Question ....

I just learns a lot in this Game by playing in many leagues .... NHL junior and ECHL of course my first real
success league as manager !!

Sorry i am so pround of it but this league is tough because ther is no draft Man you have too sign the players that NHL
Dosnt Want and devlop them ..... as Junior Canadian League ...

No Draft It is like in the CFL ( or local Foootball league in Canada ) ....Find them talk to them and Sign Them !!!

This is a kind of different think !!

But The Game is Still Good in the ECHL !!!
