Sim league help

Post by yellowledbetter »

Disclaimer: I've searched the forums already, so please don't flame me.

I'm going to be participating in a fantasy sim league, and we're looking to use EHM 07. The problem is that the game only allows us to control 16 GMs at one time. Is there any way to circumvent this?

No, there's no way around it.

You could use EHM 2005, however - it allows the full 30 GMs.

If you don't have 2005, you can use the demo - online functionality with the 2005 demo is free.

To host you need to have the full version. I bought mine off amazon for like $5. All other GM's can use the demo.

I've taken something about hosting EHM 2007 vs 2005 from another thread. I havent given the link because it is in the middle of a very big thread.
shooter_80 wrote:EHM 2007 - as suggested before, this is not as stable for playing online. What do I mean by stable? I can only give a brief explanation as I have not attempted to do this - running one league is enough for me! Sticking Out Tongue drewst18 is probably a person with a lot of answers as I know he tried to do it in the past. Anyways, before I digress more. With so many people accessing the game through out the day, it creates game errors that pop up on the host PC. This freezes the game. We have 13/30 GM's who are all on MSN at various times of the day that can access the host PC (via VNC) and fix this. These people can also save the game for any GM upon request (saves are not always necessary - I only recommend them after making a lot of changes - ie lots of individual scouting, contract offers, etc). Since I am hosting on a over the top PC - it has minimized game errors but from what I have heard, with EHM 07 it is worse. There are also some other set backs with 07 but as I said above I am not the person to go through it.

I apologize if I have rambled a bit - I wasnt expecting the post to be as long as it is. Sticking Out Tongue

Again, any questions - just ask. I'd prefer if you post your questions regarding DM on our forum as it will benefit all new GM's.

I hope that helps. I appreciate the feedback I read and have put up a link to TBL on our forum as a great place to go and learn more about the game.
I hope that helps.
