nothing to do... Problem about online game loading...

I all!!! I've searched this forum to see if someone post about my specific problem but no.... At first i had a problem about creating an online league but i find somewhere that this is due to a second folder in database.... so i deleted my lidasDB folder and i've been able to create it...

Now my new problem is that when i load an online league everythings load right but it takes me to the add DG's page where i can see the list of DG's and i can do nothing..... actually i'm supposed to click on (i dont know the button in french it's finir in english could be like end or terminate....) at the down left but i cant...

Could it be because of something like players image i've updated???.... I'll continue my search-for-a-mystical-solution by myside but if someone have an idea or know how to fix it...

You want to select your team first (as the host of the online game) and then click finish. This will then load the online game as you as host.

When selecting your team - you find your team on the list and then select where it says you are on vacation.

Let me know how this goes.

i got another question..... If we're 15 DG's in the league...While time as come to simulate does everyone needs to be online??? and if i load an online game does i can satrt game with only me as DG or everyone needs to be on to load??

lol and another last question.... I play with NHL EHM 2007... Updated roster with lidas 1,5.... I used the pre-game editor to change market fan and some arenas capacity to make everyone a chance... I started a new online league then save it and use Saved game editor to make all budget egal to the salary cap....

But here's the problem... When poeple connecting to the game they enter their name and choose their team but it always writte Unknown as first name... Dont understand why he's doing that.... i'm working on it but except if it's because of the changes i made i really dont see what could be the problem... Maybe this could be a DG problem but... i dont think 15DG's are all idiots...

When any of the GM's leave the game - they need to "Go On Vacation" to leave the game. Then you can sim the game without everyone there. This is why in most online leagues, we only sim about 4 days in game at a time. This allows GM's to make changes, etc

Ok so now i got 3 DG registered in my league... if i wanna load the saved files i absolutely need them to connect or i have to take thoses team by myself... That's horible... And for the vacancie.... normally whil they leave they automatically become on vacancy.... dont understant...they absolutely have to put them on vacancy before leaving??? honestly this sims looks really nice but that's making me like i'm not sure anymore it's that good that he looks like.... so now to load a game i'll have to take 15 DG before loading and put them all on vacancy myself???

LOL and now everytime i put a DG on vacancy the sims simulate one shot.... Man who tought that was a good idea??? can i do it another way??? cause now this is begining to make me really angry.... cannot understand how a nice sim like this one is scrapped by some stupid details like that...

Makes like 1 month i'm trying to start that onlinbe league and always having stupid problems like oh no u have 2 folder in database but they're happy to tell us we can add new database but they won't tell us this will get the game to crash....

Sry i'm really angry now cause everything i'm trying going horribly bad... i got my 15 DG's now everyone is happy to use this sim but......And you kow that lot of poeple dont understand computer like those who create this sim... i'm absolutly sur that not all my DG will think about put them on vacancy before leaving the sim...

Last thing.... u say i cannot simulate if they wont make them on vacancy but that's not right.... When they leave the sim they fall on vancancy automatically and i can simulate but why this vacancy wont work while i'm trying to load the game??? i really have no other choice than taking all them by myself??? cause like i sayd when i get them on vacancy the simulator automatically simulate one shot... so 14DG will simulate like4 days..... That suck....

i've just tryed to open the league and put DG's on vacancy save the league close the sim and trying to re-open the league but even if i put them on vacancy i cannot load the game if i dont take them all.... i really dont understand.... Is just me having this problem or maybe i dont understand the way this is supposed to work....

i got your PM and will try to respond to it tomorrow.

in the meantime, my best advice is to join an exisiting online league and learn how it works that way. once you are comfortable with how it works then that is when you can try creating your own. both existing online leagues (DM & NB)at the moment are being run by people who have been involved for a long time.

my next point, off the top of my head, is that EHM 2007 is not a stable online game. if you want to run a successful online league, you will need to run EHM 2005. this may be where you are running into troubles on having to log in as every GM.

Drew knows the most about this, but, afaik when you load a game in 07 online you have to log in as every gm ingame and put each one on vacation.

Ok but if i log in as every GM and put them on vacation it says in vacancy(Observer) i didnt try to ask someone to take his team after that but i'll try but... I doubt it could work.... Anyways thanks i'll try it and i'll come tell you what happened...

Ok finally i found out.... I need to take all teams and then i can kick them from the game so they're going back to Vancancy mode and the real DG can take his team... Thx to you for your help!

Ok now new problem... NHL EHM2007 was too crashy so i change to 2005... And same problem now but the solution dont work on both verison.... When i load the game i need to take each teams but i dont find how to kick them out after that... i cannot juste make them in vacations.....

In EHM 05 you shouldnt need to take over each team. Click "Restore Online Game", then select your team and then ok. Thats all you need to do to host the game. As long as you log in that way, the other GM's should be able to log into their teams if they have the IP.

Having read your other post...

To kick a GM in EHM 05. Click on "Roster", then "Personel", then click on the GM name. In the top left, you should see "Actions", then click "Kick Player".

Ok... First when i load an online game, if i dont take over each team i cannot click on finish to enter the simulator... Maybe i miss something... Second ok sry my sim is in french but i think i click at the right place... When i click on the DG' name there is no actions choice that appear... In fact i just want to kick a player from the game.... In EHM2007 just have to go in OPTIONS then GENERAL MANAGER STATUS and finally right-click on player and click on kick i think or something like that...

ok i just tried something... If I add the GM myself... Then when i load the game i can load it whitout aving to take over each teams... Second i tried something else... I think i found out what's the problem... If someone use password it wont me get in the game without taking all Humans teams... Dont know why.... Maybe it's something else but for now that seems the problem..

Not sure what you are doing then. You shouldnt need to load up as every GM in EHM 05. I know that we dont work with passwords so that may be your problem.

To kick a GM.

1. Go to Standings
2. Click on the team you want to kick from the game
3. Click on Personnel on the left
4. Click on the GM's name
5. Actions option is top left and then you can kick GM from there

I hope this is more detailed for you.

yeah i know but that dont work..... This is to fire a GM... Not to kick him out of the server.... But the passwords ARE probably the problem i tryed many times and that's the only solution... Thank You very much Shooter!!!!

GM's shouldn't use Passwords, cause they are a pain in the ass and will eventually lead to the league folding...but if you are going to allow passwords then "Sports Interactive" is like a default password and allows you to take control to kick a GM.

Without sounding like a prick, there is A LOT of rubbish and work that goes into running an online league. If you are serious about running a real league (not just a couple friends) you might want to look into joining one first to see how they work or it likely will cause your league to fold. If its just a couple of friends it isn't a huge deal, but for a real 24/7 league you need to download some programs to allow people to get into the game, and need boards and such for trades...like I said a lot goes in, and if your a rookie to online you are gonna need to learn how to be part of a league before running it.

IMHO.

I completely agree. My advice to anyone trying to start an online league is to be part of one first. I think that was my first reponse to his original post.

You're right i've finally start my league everything goes fine with no password... And finnaly Shooter to kick a GM from the simulator it's like you said...

But we need to Right-click on the GM's name and there's the option to kick him...
