Sutton's elbow was tucked, Leopold dropped his head, clean hit. It's only a dirty hit if Sutton had targeted the head of Leopold with his elbow, which he didn't. Just because he unfortunately took the check to the dome doesn't make the hit dirty. There is a difference between a headshot and a bodycheck that hits the head. I hope that Leopold is going to be okay, and I hope Sutton keeps playing the game his way.

As for Ruutu-Crosby, I don't think you can really call it a hit when Crosby stopped skating in before initiating contact with Ruutu. Seemed to me like another instance of a player (Typical Ruutu) turning his back to a guy and taking one for the team hoping to get the right penalty called.

We've got nice series so far! It's not happen quite often that none of the series will end 4-0. Everyone team won at least one game and alot of them were just by 1 goal.

I agree, we also have a little bit of everything this year, high scoring, tight defense, great goaltending, own goals (ok, that was a stretch, O'Reilly DID touch the puck), but still, these are great and very unpredictable games.

Look at where Sutton's elbow is. Then look at how low Leopold hangs his head. That is all.

What a play by Recchi. And what a hit by Boychuk. Guy just delivers devastating game changing clean hits on a regular basis :joy:

It was Matt Ellis getting hit. Not Tyler Ennis.

Roberto Luongo = Captain Hook

Tough break for the Canucks, I heard about the kicking motion goal. Some around here are screaming bloody murder and that the fix is in from Toronto. Reality is that there are 29 other teams that have fallen victim to the same call. No fix, just hockey.

I'm really glad to see that there's no runaway winners in any of the series so far. Even after tonight's game, the Habs are going to go down fighting if they're goose is cooked.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's off to bed in hopes that there's no nightmares of tonight's 8-4 thrashing that my Heat sustained at the hands of the Rochester Americans. ](*,)

Boychuk really is making a great case for the Bruins re-signing him after the season, isn't he? He played a great game last night. Deal Hunwick and keep Boychuk!

Just to avoid misconceptions, I wasn't specific when I said "some around here". I meant my geographic location, not the blue line regulars

DJP19 didn't post alot since the Sens are losing. :-p We've still got a great series so far, alot of goals but the Pens still lead 3-1.

The Flyers are really surprising with Boucher in the net, they could cause the first surprise of the playoffs! 3-1 against the Devils.

Colorado and Phoenix have lost. :-(

IMHO, you can't really consider a team that went 5-1against another in the regular season a "surprise" when they take three of four in the playoffs.

As long as they can keep Kovalchuk frustrated, NJ has no chance. This was something the Flyers learned from years of dominating Atlanta.

DJP19, you don't have to be ashamed of the performances of your Sens. The games are awesome so far they keep scoring over each other I that's the kind of show I like in the playoffs.

jbsnadb, I know the Flyers completely dominate the Devils in the regular season. The playoffs are another "season" and yes to me it's a surprise. with Boucher in the net everyone was telling the Flyers wouldn't pass the Devils because of that, even with their domination in the regular season. The Devils are so much more experiemented in the playoffs then the Flyers, I wasn't expecting this at all. IMO Brodeur is getting old and his fuel tank is maybe empty and the Flyers are playing great, they keep Parise, Zajac, Elias shut down, the Devils are not just Kovalchuk.

I think that the Sens have played as well as they could have in these games. Is it just me or is this the one series (Pittsburgh vs. Ottawa) that the goaltending and defense have been not up to par? Maybe I should be an anaylst, with my pick of this series :-D

I'm a little surprised about the Philadelphia-New Jersey series. I was expecting a 2-2 tie after 4 and the Devils offense to have a little more life in it. The Flyers are getting scoring from everyone, including Dan Carcillo (raise your hand if you thought that he's have more goals than Briere after 4 games!).

I think that the Habs are done. Martin is trying to do something to change the momentum of the series by starting Price tonight, but it's not just the goaltending, it's the players in front of the goaltending as well. Tonight will be the final nail in the coffin, before the series heads back to Washington.

The Sabres hopefully will win tonight, they just have to give Miller some help.

The best game of the night will be the late one. I like the Canucks, but when Samuelsson has half of your teams' goals in the series, it has to make you wonder if it's the Kings suffocating defense on the Sedins, Kesler and the like. I think Luongo stands on his head and they squeak out a 3-1 or 4-2 win.

Thanks B72, I needed a good laugh. The PA one reminds me of the mistake I made this year of announcing that a coach had scored a goal (it was actually his kid that scored the goal). It was just that kind of season.

Flyers will have to continue the Devils series without Carter and Gagne.
