You referring to the Emelin hit on Jagr, Tasku? I'm not sure, as I haven't seen any replays, but it looked clean to me, and I was really surprised by the clipping call. There was a situation just before that hit when Tereshchenko caught the head of Koukal; that was way more dangerous and deserved a penalty, but no call was made. I suppose the referees wanted to make up for that blunder, but they ended up with two mistakes instead of one.Tasku wrote:5+20. Still, congratulations to the Czechs.

Referees were ugly the whole tournament. But this time, I can't complain
That 5+20 was very stict. Maybe the referees wanted to call clipping
Russians couldn't score for the first 40 minutes and then they were under pressure in the final period. They should have scored sooner, not some 3 minutes before end. I don't think referees caused it all. They just missed their chances and czechs had some fortune, of course
Overall,

Yeah, I'm referring to Emelin's hit on Jagr. It was a clean hit. And not just clean, but a very good hit. I love good, clean hits that send the other player (Jagr in this case) flying accross the ice. Calling a 5+20 on hits like that kill the game, soon no one will dare to hit. Calling a good hit after you've missed a dirty hit is not the way to go either. Call what you see. If you don't see it, don't call it!Círyatan wrote:You referring to the Emelin hit on Jagr, Tasku? But, what is done, is done. Congrats to Czech Republic for the gold.
