If the Sens got a first rounder for Fisher, what can the Stars get for Richards??!!
Not only a first. The conditional pick could become a 2nd rounder depending on the Preds playoff-fortunes.
Well yea, but a first rounder to begin with was an overpayment IMO.

That kind of game your tickets are worth of.
Although Krejci, Hamrlik and Spacek all lost their fights, I liked to watch them

Krejci should stop dropping the glove, especially against MTL.

He doesn't do that well but he tries and I like seeing the team so fired up that even the finesse players are willing to drop the gloves.

Just watched the highlights of the Bos/Mtl game....

That trade couldn't have been any better for Fisher. He's engaged (or are they married now?) to country singer, Carrie Underwood. That puts him right in her territory.
The Senators sure got a nice piece for the future. Of course, I'm guessing Nashville's pick will be in the later half of the first round, so it's not like they're getting one of the sure-thing guys.

I think that's a good addition for Predators. They will have tough center units, if/when Lombardi comes back. Fisher will play at 3rd line center and in 2pp unit.
I also think that Fisher is happy because his wife, country-musician Carrie Underwood lives in Nashville.

Still over payment imo. Maybe only the 1st rounder, but conditional 2nd too?

I agree that it's a no-brainer for Fisher - I just don't think he's worth including a 1st rounder in the trade. He's never really impressed me much (53 points is a career high).

He ain't scoring player, he's two-way forward. And he has played whole his career with such a guys a la Vermette, Neil etc.

I'm sure we all know who's going to win the Vezina this year (a certain Bruin), but what do you folks think of Marc-Andre Fleury's season? He got off to a terrible start for sure, but he's having the best season of his career statistically (GAA, SP). The Pens are one of the top teams in GAA this season, much in part to both Johnson and Fleury - Obviously I think the team D has been much better than in years past as well....With most of the Pens "stars" out, I think Fleury has been the reason they've stayed in some games as of late.

Gotta love how they're interested in hockey in the US.

Well it's Nashville we're talking about in this instance. Country music reigns supreme there.

I wasn't talking about big hockey city though like Boston, Detroit etc....But those team that Bettman still want to keep even if they're clearly not hockey area. I remember back when Anaheim won the cup alot of people living there didn't even knew that.

California is huge area that it's not news that some people don't knew it. There's still a lot of people who knew it. It's same in every city. In Sm-liiga, Jyp won the championship at 2009 and there were bunch of people who didn't knew what is happening on city centre.

Islanders beat Pens 9-3. They really seem to like playing against pens, first they stopped Crosby's streak and now give them the worst loss of the season.

Few penalties were given in that game, 346 mins.

Totally. Great to watch. I love big hits and fighting in hockey. But really could do w/o the chickens and their cheap shots.

There is some nice suspension from the league after the game Pens/Isles good job.
Godard 10 games, Gillies 9 games and Martin 4 games. The only thing weird is that Godard got a 10 game for leave the bench and Martin got 4 game for a hit from behind.

The 10-game is automatic for leaving the bench. I haven't seen the incidents but if the league really wishes to get rid of cheapshots then they need stiffer suspensions.
