Fleury and Halak will replace Howard and Rinne at the all-star game. I didn't even realised that Fleury wasn't at the game, pretty ridiculous.

If you must mention 10 goalies then atleast take the "91.5SV%" that actually has a shot in the end with a monster finish to the season like Hank, Quick and Rask or something, not darn tootin' Bernier.

And no, Cindy has not been the MVP of the team, it has been Fleury and Malkin by far. And i still think it's a horrible list, especially for Hart. Nash and Voracek are two of the main contenders behind Rinne and aren't even mentioned anywhere, .
Fleury is having his best season in his career. Crosby and Malkin are both great as they always are.

It's VERY hard to compare a goalie with a D-man/Forward (when we're talking about the Hart Trophy)
Hence why i said that Malkin AND Fleury has been Pens MVPs so far this season over Cindy and both should be among the contenders, although they are probably on the lower end of that contender list for Hart. And my main point is still that not having Nash, Voracek and Johnson even mentioned in there is just wrong and makes me think he (LeBrun) doesn't even watch those teams. Because after Rinne and Getzlaf (maybe Weber too?) it's those 3.

Those statements I totally agree on!

Yes, he's a pretty good prospect (and of course Finnish :-D)

Rämö's contract will expire, Hiller has one year left. Ortio has a one way contract next year so he will most likely be a Flames goalie. So I think Rämö will probably go after this year, which is sad. I rather see Hiller go.

He's been really great in the AHL the last two years. He looked good with the big club in a call up last year as well - although his numbers in that trip weren't as strong as this current stretch. Then again, the team in front of him was nowhere near as good last year.
We've had expectations the last few years here in Calgary that he could develop into an NHL starter, but have been trying to temper expectations (a lot of our recent goalie prospects haven't panned out). So it's really exciting to see him showing this much promise. And the best part is that from Turku in Finland - same as Kipper!

Agreed, I think they'll try and trade Rämö before the deadline, but I'd rather see them go with the two Finns next year.

darn the All-Star game is boring. :-D Watching it for the first time in ~15 years I think.

Back then I was a kid and enjoyed the game and it was awesome! 8-) Hasek, Brodeur, Roy in the net. Lemieux, Gretzky, Lindros, Yzerman, Forsberg, Sakic, Bourque and a young Selanne on the ice. I miss those times.

Indeed it's boring. I'm watching it in hopes to see great goals but I barely pay attention to the game. :-D Skills contest is funnier.

Good news for the Kings if they can get rid of his contract. Even make a little money. What is the waiver fee now, $45,000?

Richards is far from the player he used to be. I remember when he started in Philly he was one of my fav players. (Since Forsberg was there too)

Well he's still a good player, but he's waaay overpaid.

Well, I guess with the roster the Kings have he barely have ice time. In Philly he was able to do 70 pts a season and in today's NHL, 5.75 millions with 70pts would be cheap. But he doesn't score anymore.

Seems like Brodeur decided to call it a quit but he joins the staff team of the Blues! I was expecting him to go back to New Jersey.

I read it's only for the remainder of this season and then he'll probably head to the Swamp She-devils. IMO, they should get rid of Lou-cifer

Yeah Lou has no business there IMO too but he seems well in place. Don't really know why though.

And he passed through waivers unclaimed. A very big part of the reason he passed was that he's still got 5 more years on that contract. If he only had 1 or 2 more years on the deal, I bet a team would have claimed him and taken a chance. Carrying $5.75M for 5 years is too risky a move for a guy that isn't performing anymore.

Yeah that sucks for him and I think the Kings can't buy him out, so basically they're stuck with him. I wouldn't be surprised if he pass in a cheap deal around the trade deadline.
