Game On! Just needs to be ratified. Tsn is saying eith a 50-game season starting Jan 15th or a 48-game season starting Jan 19th depending on when all the paperwork/ratification is completed.

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
I don't know how I feel about this. I guess it's great they finally reached an agreement, but I kind of wish it had dragged on longer so that all those concerned could see how much this rubbish damages the league.
I guess perhaps there's just enough time to squeeze in a 40-50 game schedule. But they'd have to act quick... I can't say I'm all that excited about NHL hockey this season.

I don't know how to feel about it either. Honestly, I really don't care about the end of the conflict. Since the beginning of it I always expected no season so I don't really care what is happenning right now.

Well my excitement isnt up there either anymore as it woudl have been at the beginning of the real season, but i guess when the first puck drops it will be a good time again. But to make my wounds really healed and get my hockey enthusiasm back again theres one thing that has to happen : Release of FHM!!!!!!!! Just cant wait any more.

I'm excited but only because there's not much else to do in winter. Don't like or follow roundball much and also don't really care to much about the NFL. Baseball is several months away so yeah...... GAME ON !

That's probably my problem. I know I have nothing else to watch and that hockey is my passion but I have this strong feeling that tells me to don't care about it.

I'll be running back the moment the puck is dropped like that stupid naive girl keeps going back to her abusive boyfriend because this time he really promised to change. I'm such a whore. ](./images/smilies/wallbash.gif)

Batdad don't even need to add something about what you said Danny. You did it yourself this time.

You ARE Jeremy Jacobs own personal whore.
Just had to add since philou said I would not have to....so: you are a disease ridden whore.

Too bad Jacobs will offer you $10 thousand for an hour, but then in 2 seconds after you agree and start will pull out and offer you a penny. EDIT: YES I SAID THAT.

Lockout over. In other news...who cares. Bunch of dingbats running back until 8 years from now when next strike or lockout happens.
IN other news....Canucks will buy out Ballard, Rangers will buy out Redden. And then Canucks sign Redden to 7 year $40 million contract. Rangers sign Ballard to 7 year $50 mill.
And then....the Wild trade for both of them.

I'd gladly take a 7% paycut if Mr. Jacobs offered me 10k per hour for doing what I can do best...being lazy and drinking Whisky!batdad wrote:Danny wrote:I'll be running back the moment the puck is dropped like that stupid naive girl keeps going back to her abusive boyfriend because this time he really promised to change. I'd not waive my NTC for Minnesota though.

Jacobs won't offer 7% paycut you little whore. You know he was a HARDliner. LOL. Viagra. He will try and use you for two seconds, and then cancel everything to save a few bucks. You won\t get a penny out of him. You know better. Not even the penny he asked you to.....Oh nevermind. Family friendly.

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
/Jacobs is the reason for this whole mess. Old school asswhipe of an owner. No idea how to run a business in this day and age. What really makes it funny? He is one of the owners who lost a bucketful of money by not playing. He is one of the top 10 HAVES in the league and acted like a total clown.
I totally hate Ryan Miller and his attitude, but the supposed verbal beatdown of Jacobs he gave which caused the old man to run for the doors back early in December. Too awesome. Had to go cry to his maid. Oh wait, no way he has a maid....he would have to pay her. And well.....

He is a cocky little dillwad, who is really scared of his own shadow. Really just the opposite of Jacobs. NHLPA hard line dufus.

Haha I loved it when Jets fans mocked him with the silver medal chant, his whining afterwards was even better.
Not a fan of Jacobs but I have a hard time believing he doesn't have a lot of owners actually behind him. It's easy to claim you want to play when you know you don't have to follow up your statements during the negotiations because you're not part of it. From a PR point of view I'd do that too as an owner. Although, If I was an NHL owner I'd probably not care and just drink Whisky all day long

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
SUre--JAcobs has lots of owners behind him: the NHL (Phoenix), Florida, Columbus, Anaheim, Nashville, Dallas,
All 6 other teams that he and Buttman needed to make sure noone else could speak up and do anything. Its been clear from day one that many many of the teams wanted to play, and only the weak sisters plus the cheap silly billies (likely add Chicago to the mix) did not want to get things done.
Between these 7 or 8 dweebs on the owner side and the 7 or 8 dweebs on the NHLPA side (Miller, Campoli, Westgarth, Brouwer, and a few other morons) the NHL screwed itself out of millions of dollars, and the players did just the same. Plus they widdled off alot of diehard fans like me.
No way do I spend a single $ on NHL Adam Oates this year (yeah my cable bill will still have TSN, Sportsnet and CBC/NBC) but not another penny to these arseclowns.
Make no mistake= Jacobs is chairman of the NHL Board of GOvernors. He is a cheap, dumb assclown.
