How to add logos in to EHM 2005
I have been trying to add my own hockey logos in to the game and I figured out what size has to be 45 x 45 and the format PNG image and it shows in the game but how do you make the backgroung of the logo transparent so that it blends in with the titlebar (which I mean by getting reid of the white box around it ). Also any buddy know how to make rink logos? Is there a walk throught guide on how to do these things?

To get the "background" transparent, you need to use something like photoshop and erase the background while leaving the logo in tact. I just use the magic wand tool to select the white only (or whatever the background is), then run the eraser over it a couple times and that gets the job done. Although, that's as far as I can get with my logos... I am trying to add the logos for the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League, but getting the logos to fit to my already layed out 45X45 canvas is turning out to be a real pain in the neck.
As for the rinks, you can download Minstrel's rink template for Photoshop, which will have the needed layers all set-up already so you just need to place any logo at center ice and adjust it to your liking. Doing it form scratch... is a real pain when I last tried which made me give-up on it, so I'm not sure what you need to do for that.

The rinks template includes a full walk-though text file as well
It is found in our EHM 2005 section in the 'Tutorials & Templates' section. Here's the download page link:

Any image editing program should have the ability to create a transparent backround; and there are various editing tools within any program that you can use to remove the non-logo portion of a source image. You can start with a larger area tool such as a color wand and transition down to erasing pixels one by one. The most efficient and flexible way to do it no matter the tool is with an image mask. Any in-program or basic online tutorial should get you aquainted with all of these basic approaches

No problem
I really do mean it about online tutorials though; there are amazing ones around as well as great alternate manuals usually called "classroom in a book" or something like that, resource manuals like (Insert Program Name Here) Bible for real core "nuts and bolts" kind of knowledge. There are some great books in the Cool Tricks type approach too. The big benefit is they usually have a disc with them too that provides examples and links to resources on the web. Scott Kelby has a series of 'Down and Dirty Tricks' books you can find at Amazon for example that are really good.
Online tutorials are great for those short Quick Tips or Cool Tricks type things that show you step by step how to create a certain look/effect. You can then apply that to other things. Depending on your program just search Google for (Program Name) Tutorials and you'll find your way quickly to something worthwhile.
In general the more you know about your chosen program and the more you work with it the better your results will be; just like the more you understand and work with EHM the better your results...
I am actually 100% self-taught... all of my knowledge/skills were developed through these kinds of things and then just experimenting; that's I guess a lot of why I've done such in depth tutorials and such for people if they are interested in creating content for EHM. I know exactly what it's like to be at square one and try to give everyone the most detailed step-by-step rundowns I can as well as passing along any tips or tricks that I've come across or used in particular projects.
Best of luck and feel free to ask any question ya want. All programs use the same basic tools but I can only help in "select this option from your File menu" type specific steps via Photoshop.
