Tall/heavy players overperform

Post by archibalduk »

Larger players dominate the game in EHM. Smaller players just don't perform how they should. Small players end up with playing time on AI teams because of their skill level and not their performance (because they don't really perform in game very well at all).
Now take a Theo Fleury or a Martin St. Louis and give them less offensive skill and more defensive. Maybe tack on a few pounds and you have a sturdy defensive forward with a low center of gravity and a surprising strength and hitting ability despite small stature. Even with all that, amazing work ethic included, you're looking at around a 5.8-6.3 average rating over the course of a season. Make him less concerned about his work rate and make him 6'3 and he's going to be around 7.75-8.25. The difference is monumental and unrealistic.
